@@SteadfastRC same here and I feel much better that way just do it when I feel like and with what I have but will always try to catch up with a few good people like yourself !
Just saw you vid about the shims....recently broke My rear axle housing on my base camp...getting ready to make the swap with new housing. So should I expect the new set up needing your shims. I've never heard and noise from the old setup, whatcha think??
@@longcrawler I've never heard of breaking the actual housing so I'm not quite sure about that, all I can tell you is when you're putting the new gears in make sure they don't have excessive slop between them, I don't sell the shims anymore but you could make some pretty easily if you needed to out of a milk jug or something.
I really enjoyed that I was surprised how well the wpl tank did I have heard mixed reviews but it seems solid did some great crawling and I was really surprised it hauled the Scx24
@@AdventureTimeRC thank you so much Brent, yeah the wpl quality is pretty low as you would expect but the only real problem seems to be you have to upgrade to the metal track set other than that it's a pretty good rig, I had a lot of fun making this video. I might have to do some more cinematic RC videos from time to time
@AdventureTimeRC this is the first time we've taken them on a Long trail drive. The scx were a liilt slow but it was a lot of fun, perfect pace for the kids. Ascent is perfect speed.
@AdventureTimeRC oh dude that thing is so cool, I'm going to wait and see if they come down on price probably. But I would like one kind of been focusing on 28th scale on road racing lately, got a small track set up in my shop and going to try to set up a bigger one at our church and race with a few guys. Mini z and k989's
@SteadfastRC I haven't seen much I have been interested in lately besides construction stuff and it's crazy prices so I picked it up I was thinking of Hauler the sprit jet on it
yooo really want to buy that tire since the beginning just because i am more into beadlock. googling “jumbo kong beadlock” and nothing but discontinued product. jumbo kong definitely mythical creature and what replacement thing for it these day really I should consider to buy it right now! thanks for the video! have a nice day!
I have the same exact rigs and you are not wrong. First upgrade on the redcat was tires and weighted wheels. The swampers on the power wagon are super soft and grippy right out of the box!
@zc154 yeah I'm mostly posted this video because most of the big name reviewers were saying how good the tires were stock. Obviously they're not, I have a lot more videos of the smaller scale stuff if you're interested. Thanks for watching!
I had a similar issue with my Grasshopper, only I did have the spacer that was yours was missing. Your video gave me the clue that I needed to put a washer next to the spacer to tighten up the clearances that had developed over time. I probably should buy ball bearings now and solve the wear problem Thanks for posting this video.
I posted this video a few years back, I am so glad to here it is still helping people, Hopefully my more current videos are better lol. Thank you for watching. Also fyi I have not had to take the hornet transmission apart to this day still going strong!
@AdventureTimeRC it really does, turns out I had the video transmitter stuck in low power mode on this whole video though, it will look a little better next time
@@philthyco1 that's awesome Phil, I'm sure you're going to love it, it's the best 18th scale rig I've driven as far as a crawler, you probably will get tired of the stock tires pretty quick though, they just don't hook like a better Tire that and adding some weight down low helped out a lot
