Indian civilization was built on our ancestors’ ability to do agriculture. The Country’s well being was crafted by the villages’ wellbeing. Just a few decades ago, there was an inherent cohesiveness, better nourishment, and better quality of life despite a meagre income in our villages. The livelihoods related skills were passed down the generation and enough livelihood opportunities were available in the village itself. Celebrations were a way of life and people were generally joyous. Villages had clean rivers and enough green cover. “Conserve and use” was the mode in which people approached every resource creating circular economy.
