A shameful Hall of Fame snub. Not only was he clutch at bat, in the bases and in the field, he was a gentleman and true sportsman❤️ Yes, thank you Bernie! And he can shred, I’ve got his CD’s🩷
That's why I love baseball. This is one aspect of the game that will never change. Unlike the NBA and NFL where rules have changed that completely shifts how the game is played.
What does hof mean in sports? A Hall of Fame is, almost by definition, a ranking of the best players to ever play the sport.Jan 23, 2024Etymology. From Middle High German hof, from Old High German hof, from Proto-West Germanic *hof, from Proto-Germanic *hufą (“hill, farm”). Hitting now is so ridiculous the batting averages or unbelievable low what they should do now since pictures for 100 Mi an hour they should move the mound back 5 ft have pictures showing 90 miles an hour instead of 100 and then we'll see some hitting going on I want to see home runs I want to see a team batting average of 280 seeing two three runs the game all the time in 5 years pitchers will be throwing 108 miles per hour.
i was tearing up...watching these videos. i grew up watching Bernie play baseball, the most humble and underrated player of all time. I am disgusted with the fact on how they wont consider him i the HOF! till this day, he ranks third of all time in Homeruns in the post season. Without Bernie, the yankess would have never won 4 world series. these are facts. Its complete disrespect to this man and his career achievements. absolute CLUTCH player. would kill to have him on the yankees today. He was over shadowed by all the PED users! he NEVER USED PEDs!! open them books back up ASAP!!!
A lot of these clips took me back too! Eight straight years over .300 🤯 So many clutch October Home runs Always did it with a quiet confidence, cool as a cucumber. Love him.
Its hilarious reading the crybabies claiming he was on steroids....most of the crybabies never having done ANYTHING themselves but think their 'ethical opinions' matter
Will always remember a sensational diving catch of a line drive in the gap and Tim McCarver's comment at the time about the catch and then noting, "and the score is 7-1" (Yanks in the lead). He out ran a lot of balls in CF
Grew up In Anaheim in the 70's watching him, not really appreciating what we were witnessing. Pitching was way different back then. We had 4 starters, Nolan, Clyde Wright, Rudy May and Bill Singer (later Frank Tanana) and they just went out there every 4th day and STAYED out there come hell or high water! The bullpen was just a bunch of rubber arms, there were no "specialists". No 8th inning guy, set-up guy, long or short relief guy, and definitely no closer! Many times the game would be 10-1 in the 8th inning and the starter was still out there getting rocked!
Can't express how much I appreciate the full wind-ups. Seeing the full pitch adds a lot to these videos. 8:54 worst speed, worst throw, worst tag attempt 😁
They say if you play too long 15 years for the Hall of Fame so if you have five or six years they say it's too short....ask any pitcher if they wanted to face Don with men on base? He only Struck out 30 times per year..😅😅😅
