Many times on top of the motor the plastic cap part that he's using the small screwdriver to pull the carbon brush spring back with, there are 2 small holes on top that are there so uou can put skinny toothpick like sticks in there. The toothpick like sticks will line up perfectly with the carbon brush spring and hold spring back safely so you can reassemble the motor easily. Once the plastic cap is back in its correct position, you pull toothpick sticks out of the holes and the carbon brush spring moves back into the normal position holding carbon brush securely against the motor armature like it is supposed to be. Not every electric brush motor does this but many will have these holes.

Amazon sells Chinese made cheap lock actuator for around $20 US dollars. Toyota factory made lock actuator costs around $200 US dollars plus $200 US dollars for labor cost.

Opening up door panel and removing all fasteners that hold lock actuator in place and unclip thin metal rods (2) that actually operate coor lock and once entire piece is out of the door you can carefully disassemble lock actuator and locate problen part. Most likely electric motor is frozen in position and will need to be completely replaced.

There is a program mode your car door locks can be put into. To achieve this mode you will need to research your model either on RU-vid or official factory service manual. The steps to put car into program mode are something like "PUT KEY IN IGNITION AND TURN KEY 5 TIMES FROM OFF TO START WITHIN 10 SECONDS, THEN OPEN AND CLOSE DRIVERS DOOR ONE TIME, THEN PUSH DOOR LOCK BUTTON TO UNLOCK THEN LOSK 3 TIMES WITHIN 5 SECONDS........ something crazy like this. Once car is in program mode, there are many custom adjustments that cam be programmed to do like unlock doors and roll front windows down. Or lock all doors only when car is running and in drive..good luck.
