Hello! Welcome to join my journey. I'm creating videos of my activities and working with machines. Most videos are projects for me, projects that I need to build for myself, like the tiny house on wheels, sauna house, garage, and so on. Also, you see how I'm building my homestead. Basically, you see how I'm building up my life.
Thank you all for supporting me! All the RU-vid and Patreon earnings I will spend on my projects and homesteading!
Nice machine. Try spraying (or brushing) the whole sawmill with a mixture of diesel/oil at about 60 to 40 ratio. That will stop the metal from rusting further and preserve the rustic characteristics of the sawmill. The 'diesoil' coating gives the remaining paint a deep lustrous pop. If you go thru all the metal surfaces with a powered wire brush to remove the flakey rust and paint, you will stop the oxidation in its tracks. That mixture also works good as a flush for mucky tanks, hydraulic lines, crankcases, gear-boxes, differential cases, etc. You can use it as a power-washer cleaner with an air blow gun that has an inline vacuum hose on it that will suck up the mixture from a hand-held container. I put a gate valve where the suction line goes into the blow gun to regulate how much mixture it picks up. Besides the diesoil mixture, a solvent or soapy water, followed by a water rinse can be used to degrease a metal surface and to prep it for a quick, paint make-over when out in the field or without access to a power washer.
The blade needs to be hammered and tensioned, and preferably hammered for speed. And I can see that the gullets of the teeth need to be more rounded out
Man o man , if that saw were to heat up instantly and wander, what disaster it would be hitting that steel carriage. I witnessed a 48 inch blade many years ago catch a feed chain dog, splitting the saw in about 5 pieces and sending them through the roof and to the basement floor of an industrial sawmill. Poor sawyer almost had a heart attack.
I like seeing people put things back to life rather than let it rust away, old stuff is built better . I'm a furniture builder and repair shop in Michigan.
Yeah, I like the old crap also. Sometimes, even too much. I hope that I'm not gonna start collecting it too much, so I can't handle that. Thanks for watching and commenting!
No, to get water from the pond. Pond is much higher than the shore line of the lake down there. So there is quite good water pressure down there. Pond will get good water flow on rainy periods or springtime, so it will be cool to have some pipe where where you can take free water pressure for rampump or make a fountain down to the beach.
Spruce is a pain in the butt due to all the branches, but the branches are perfect for the chipper You're still hard working, how's your homestead project doing?
Yeah, a little. Homestead is on hold. I finished the client 8ha land clearing and homestead project. But as soon I have free time I will continue with my homestead. Can't wait to continue with that. Thanks for watching and commenting!
How come you didn't work over the side of your truck and start from the front and work your way back even if you had to use both sides of the truck pulling in and pulling out it worked better than what you're doing
Yeah, it makes sense, but then I place the wood processor further away. I need to move the firewood to shed by hand anyway, and it doesn't make it easier when the wood is too far on the front end of the truck. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers!
