The Black Hole (TBH) is a non-profit, open-to-all, casual educational and intellectual space for science, art, and culture.
Located in the G-11/3 area of Islamabad, it has a 60-capacity auditorium, small library, and a children’s science lab. Live-streamed evening events and lectures, roundtable discussions, and video screenings are scheduled throughout the week. TBH’s goals: explaining concepts of high-science and high-technology in simple Urdu and English; nurturing young people of exceptional talent in every field; and creating greater societal rationality.
Unconnected with any political or religious organization, TBH is purposed towards helping all citizens of Pakistan to participate fully in the scientific, social, economic, and cultural life of their society.

میرا خیال تھا کہ انیق احمد صاحب گہرے فکر و خیال اور اہلٍ علم ہوں گے ۔ لیکن وہ تو " خالی خولی " نکلے ۔ حضرت مودودی صاحب تو علمی۔ دلائل کے ساتھ تحریکِ پاکستان اور تخلیقٍ پاکستان کے مخالف تھے ۔ وہ تو ہندوستانی مسلمانوں کو " چڑیا گھر کے جانوروں " کے مماثل سمجھتے تھے ۔ مسلم لیگ کے عام مقتدیوں سے لے کر قائد اعظم تک مسلمان سمجھنے کے لئے تیار ہی نہ تھے ۔ ( دیکھئے تحریک آزادیء ہند اور مسلمان حصہ دوم از مودودی صاحب ،) شاید انیق صاحب نے مودودی صاحب کی کتابوں کو پڑھا نہیں ۔
The debate taken to defending Islam.....ent very low....it would have been great if everyone argued on the effects of involving religion in ruling people ...forcing people to believe what they believe... Why there was no Christian priest who could defend this involvement

Finally congratulations to each and everyone who made this program possible. All the people should understand that Military and it’s grip on the STATE can’t be wished away , it’s going to stay . The immediate solution is to bear with military domination but use next ten years to consolidate democracy at local levels say up to districts level. Yes military should be given an institutional role in civilian government. Foreign policy and defence should be their exclusive domains. Home Ministry at state and central government levels should be under military. All the intelligence agencies should report to ISI chief who in turn would report to COAS. Chief Justice of Supreme Court and High Courts should be a Lieutenant General and Major General respectively. Local self Government till Muncipal levels must be strengthened with fair elections populated exclusively with representatives of political parties. Provincial assemblies and National assembly should be indirectly elected through an electoral college like present day Senate. Establishment should have defined powers and COAS should never salute a civilian. This debate should continue for days to come.
Condemn the attitudes, not of any groups like politicians, women and so on. Intelligentsia has to be proactive, intervening type, silence is not an option for them , Intelligentia shou always opine on causes not on persons.
Dr. Meherub was excellent in discussing origin of gender perspectives . Marvellous analogy of China , Russia & Cuba vis a vis pakistan. Right wing collusion with military-industrial complex. Very focused arguments indeed 👌👌 middle class ethos and pathos . Class isn’t a line but circle . Aspirational economic anxieties , climbing the hierarchy, fear of falling . Morally righteous than elites, cut above poor. Social ascension is prime concern. Gives birth to populism to generate hopes .

Women not participating in economic development and are deprived of equality in status, education and employment is the biggest issue and prime reason for degradation of Pakistani nation . How misogyny is propogated by elite in pools and deprived sections . Sex work pays very well ….

Pakistan a nation was formed on two nation theory, which is again h@te towards the other religion, How can a nation which is formed on h@te be a normal nation???? From the day one it was a failed nation in all respect.
Every person in this panel is distinguished but I can't stop to make comparisons of Dr Mehrub Awan with others. It’s not difficult to see how much hard work and effort she has done in her life to make her voice heard and given weight to while being a transgender in a society like Pakistan. Truely inspirational human being.

Corruption is not at all an issue as it is there in every part of globe. The neighbouring India also had this issue but it didn’t hinder its progress , growth in agriculture, education, healthcare, industry , exports etc.
We in India want the Muslims to go to Pakistan and Bangladesh, according to the premises of the Partition of 1947. In India, Muslims should not have any voting rights and they should be encouraged to go to Pakistan and Bangladesh with financial inducements. We are too different from each other. Jinnah was correct and Gandhi was wrong.
The left panel in favor of secularism remained softer and did not debated on the red flags of religious laws. Let's discuss them here. There are a lot of red flags, and remember these are not based on what mullahs teach, but on authentic religious literature. 1) In a secular state, women are entitled to equal inheritance with men, but in religion, daughters receive half of what sons receive. 2) According to religious law, if a woman is raped, she is required to present four witnesses. How is this possible, and what is the need for this requirement when medical science is so advanced? 3) If a person is murdered, the state cannot prosecute the killer if the victim's family pardons the murderer. Why is this so? Even if the family pardons, the state still needs to prosecute the case and punish the culprit. 4) Religious law does not allow women to work independently, dress independently, or make independent decisions regarding personal relationships. 5) Religious law does not allow free relationships between men and women based on their own consent. 6) In a religious society governed by religious laws, minorities are not allowed to attain state leadership and executive positions. 7) Religion allows other religious people to convert to Islam but does not allow Muslims to change their religion. Meanwhile, a secular state does not regulate the personal belief and religion of a person.
