Former show choir Dad with a focus on capturing the performances for the performers, their families and friends to enjoy after the event. I don't advertise which performances I'm going to attend because I don't want to undermine the event or the fundraising initiative.
I encourage the viewers to support the performances through attendance, school merch, and donations directly to the school. While my aim is to share high quality content, it simply doesn't compare to the live experience. These videos are best served to rekindle the energy experienced during the live shows. If you find yourself re-watching videos and didn't attend, please donate to that school. They've clearly earned your appreciation and the funds help keep their programs thrive into the future.
If you are a school show choir director and would like the original video/audio files, feel free to reach out from your school email address and I'll get those to you. Expect the files to be about 6GB/minute.
@@TheGreatSwedishFish Didn't know that. My commitment was to Nick as the Mitchell director. I've made the videos public but, as with all my posts, that subject to a request to not make them available.
One of their best yet. The show takes an interesting turn at the 3rd song, about 7.5 minutes into the show. Interesting arrangements, fantastic choreo, and the ensemble just nail the vocals. Linn-Mar is just fantastic.
Hey I saw that some comments were hating on this show, but don’t listen to them! These kids are incredibly talented no matter what style their director leads them to!!
Truthfully I don't think there is a better show running in the country right now. Powerhouse or Swingers Unlimited have gorgeous technical shows....but this is nearly 70 students in near perfect sync.....this is an achievement I wish they came east of the Mississippi
Thank you for the work you put in to let those who can’t see our school shows can experience the wonderful world showchoir at its fullest. Have a good summer hope to see you out recording next year.
This is a really great recording of the show, I have question though. What type of camera and microphone did you use? as this audio sounds really good.
@IanQuaidHydenProductions Appreciate the feedback. For that show, I used a Sony FDR-AX700 camcorder. For audio, Rode NTG4+ with Zoom F6 recorded in 32 bit float. Editing done in Davinci Resolve. The NTG4+ has more self-noise than I care for but the F6 saves my bacon every time out. With the dynamic range of show choir being so wide, the 32 bit float ensures nothing is clipped and the quiet sections can be raised in post without adding noise. That said, Tiger Rhythm sounded amazing before the microphone/recorder came into play.
