I am just beginning my woodturning story at 58 and I know what you mean by the wood knows what it wants to be. I am in love with wood now and wish I had started when I was young I am 5' 1 and 1/2 inches so have to stand on a platform LOL. You go girl awesome video
Don't change the bear! Our imperfections define us as much as our strengths do. Just protect him with some oil or wax (I use a mixture of beeswax, coconut oil & boiled linseed oil). Nowt wrong with the bear, he's perfect as he is (as are you).
Just started woodturning in retirement but well into the twilight years so cant give advice on wood ( which I have always had a passion and a connection with all my life) as an old sage, you say your 4. 10....with your obvious passion, understanding and skill you look nearer 10 feet to me.. Wood does "speak".. the best turners listen.. wish you every success for the future.
Very inspirational for me. I carve wood and turn too. I thought of combining the two hobbies but have not so far . I think I'll give it a try now since I saw your video. Thank you.
