So late on replying to you, sorry man! I’ve never used a T248 but it looks like it is belt and gear and not a direct drive wheel like the C5. Really up to how realistic you want the feel of your sim to be. I personally would choose the C5 over any gear/belt driven wheel. Once you go DD you’ll never go back.

Unfortunately, I am very unhappy with Cammus' warranty service. I purchased a C5, which developed a defect after just over 1 month of use. Cammus sent me another unit and asked me to pay the customs duties and I paid. Now, when it comes to refunding, Cammus is informing them that the fees are higher than they can pay. I am really disappointed with Cammus and at this moment I am not thinking about purchasing anything else from the brand, and I will strongly recommend to the virtual pilot community that they do not buy either.
That is wrong they couldn’t do that at the very least… I don’t work for Cammus but I’m obviously in talks with them ever since they noticed I made a review. I can ask them about your order and see what they can do for you. Just email me.. Sorry man. They are such a small company they can’t afford mess ups like this. Again I’ll see what I can do

@@kykykykykykyky3964 full disclosure because I’m small, nothing for this one. I bought the C5 with my own money. The C12 video, that was 100% sponsored by Cammus. They gave me a C12, that’s it. I can give you receipts too, I have nothing to hide on this
The cammus 12nm is insanely good for what it is and the price os unbeatable anywhere. Did you really say weight was bad at 4.7kg? Most of these 12 to 15nm ones are 6 to 10kg. Lol

Going from a G923 to a cammus has def made me a better driver, i'm way more consistent because of the detail it projects plus the notchy feel of a belt drive wheel was always off putting to me.
@@BeeBeRacing every video said only the loadcell brake really gives better times but Im definately quicker with the dd wheel. I use my same logi pedals with loadcell mod.
@@paddyodoors2757 exactly! Plus it’s easier to feel the differences and adjust to those differences imho. Trying to adjust you braking/trail braking with LC pedals is painful 😖
Thanks for the solid review, maestro. super subbed, kah chow! lol. Really thinking about getting one of these for my first DD wheel. (Last anything I played on was the old MadCatz dual force wheel from like 2005 😬) Really intrigued by the C5 especially for its price point and the punch. I know it gets a bit of criticism for its looks *Shakes fist* "Damn bumper cars stay off my lawn!" 😆 but shit, man. I like quirky, haha. I know they recently updated the ability to display the selected gear in the display and also able to go from only kph to mph, so little updates and things like that are good to know they are working on upgrades in the software etc. The sturdiness of the mount paired with the ability to take apart the desk clamp and directly mount it to a rig plate seems a nice feature. I'm hoping the little details of the road really shine through like wight transfer, traction loss, curbs..etc. I'm awful about post buyer's "should I have just gone with...exhibit b.." lol. any updates on longevity and software stuffs in general? thanks for any feedback to my overly long comment 😎
Dude you did more research than me! And yeah they are really pushing to not only make decent entry level sim equipment but also improve what they have. I was looking to go with the Turtle beach wheel but wiated for the reviews. Well I can say that I will not be buying that wheel. So I just pulled the trigger on the C5 bundle (with the pedals and the desk clamp). I will also be buyying the Logitech G adaptor for my G27 pedals and shifter (until I can decide on a replacement for them both). I am looking forward to the C5 coming. Cheers for the review.
@@FellowshipOfTheAviatorZI could've sworn I replied. Yes. The wheel arrived almost 2 weeks ago. The pedals are meh but the wheel is great. I have combined the wheel with the Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals and the TH8s shift (both connected to the back of the wheel). I love the wheel.
Found the review informative. I was looking for a budget DD upgrade from the T300; the C5 does not seem bad for what it is, though I still gotta save up for to buy the wheel lol.
