Just here to say I’m really grateful you made all these videos (PA-S3 here) and I’d be sad to see them go but I also understand your priority is your patients! Thank you Peyton! Please continue to post all the fun adventures you and Christian have though! Excited for you in this new season!

I did a RU-vid search for MSU's PA program and came across your channel. How cool that you have shared your journey like this. You have inspired me to re-think PA as a profession. I would be entering as a non traditional older student. Thank you.

I just started my clinical year of PA school and your channel was SO important in motivating and inspiring me through some of the toughest moments of didactic year. I would be so sad to see your channel go away! Overall, I would say that you are extremely professional - even on your RU-vid channel!! In 2024, social media is everything and I feel like you should not have to give up your hobby to seem "professional". However, you have to take care of yourself and if you feel negatively affected by being online and being a provider, then it's a no brainer to remove it! Thank you so much for sharing with us. <3

Hi Peyton, congratulations on the new job and apartment and passing the PANCE!!! One idea about the patients finding your channel maybe a name change so that it won’t come up as soon as they type your name I’m not sure how that works since it’s been your name this whole time but just a thought 🙂

Just wanted to say HUGE CONGRATS PEYTON AND SO HAPPY FOR YOU!! 🎉 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for documenting/sharing your journey with us. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be in PA school right now if I hadn’t stumbled across your channel. I started watching your videos 2 years ago (just for funsies) before pursuing a career in medicine was even a THOUGHT in my mind. I was a health coach for 4 years and never thought I was smart enough/confident enough to pursue medicine, but your videos gave me such a real glimpse at what it might be like which gave me the confidence to give it a shot. It lit a huge fire under my butt, I smashed out 11 science pre-reqs in 5 months while working full time and applied last year never expecting to get in on my first cycle. I’m in my second semester of PA school now and truly couldn’t be happier. 100% understand where you’re coming from with this channel & we all support you either way!!! Just wanted to share my appreciation & let you know how much you’ve positively impacted me and my journey! ❤Thank you for everything!!! Your future patients are so lucky to have you.

My fiancé knows you as “the PA girl” and knows I’m struggling when your videos are on all day long. Multiple members of my class also watch your videos. These are just a few lives that you’ve impacted by sharing your journey and I know there are so so many more! I wish you so much luck in starting your first job as a PA-C and hope that patients and your employer are able to see the good you have done with this channel. Congratulations!!! Hi Peyton!! Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment, you’ve worked incredibly hard and deserve ur flowers girl 💐 I totally understand your perspective on how to go about youtube/social media while still being professional as I have a PA IG page and feel similarly as a PA-S. Its tough and you always have to prioritize urself and ur career aspirations but it looks like so many of us including myself would not mind you being more private to protect yourself and maybe even sharing more life style vlogs or even Pre-PA/PA student advice that would not be a breech of confidentiality to ur patients/colleagues. I totally support the decision you make and wish you the absolute best at ur new job 💗☺️

soon to be pa-s here + long time viewer!! so interesting to hear your perspective of inpatient vs outpatient as someone who worked in both prior to starting school and wants to work in both as a PA. i've always viewed inpatient as being superrr transitory with limited follow up until i worked on heme/onc and had patients for like 3+ months on unit and now have a completely different mindset about it haha like i love being able to follow them through their whole treatment process, but that def is because it's a specialty patients stay with and return back to
@PeytonFowler
@PeytonFowler 11 часов назад
so true! i actually did have a view “inpatient” clinicals where i felt there was more follow up (such as plastic surgery) so i totally get what you’re saying :)

Hi Peyton, I recently found your channel and have been watching your PA student vlogs (which I’m obsessed with). I’m currently on track to becoming a certified cardiac sonographer, but recently came upon the field of PA. Your videos have helped me so much over these past weeks as I figure out what I want to do in my life career wise. My mom passed almost 10 months ago and at the time I was going to school for education. I spent so much time in the oncology department with such amazing people, I realized after she passed that I didn’t want to do education anymore. I want to help people in other ways and that’s how I found Ultrasound tech. I’m continuing with UT for now, but in the coming years, once I get enough patient care hours and finish my BA, I will hopefully go to PA school. Or take another avenue, I’m not sure (PA is definitely the long term goal right now, but I realize anything can happen/change). Through watching your videos and just internally struggling with what my real goals and aspirations are in life, I know that I want to work in the oncology field, be the provider that my mom didn’t have, to care (and be there) for patients/families like the nurses and other staff that cared for my mom and were there for me. I look forward to any videos that you might make in the future! Have an amazing day and congratulations on all your achievements!!!!

“and then my third brain cell came in” 🤣🤣 I have had similar channel vs professional life crises - something else to take into consideration too is sometimes spending 40hrs/week as a PA and then filming and editing RU-vid about being a PA can circle your life so much around your identity as a PA during a huge period of adjustment and also during the first time out of school when your whole life doesn’t have to be dedicated to everything PA. I will watch you no matter what you post! I know your videos would still be just as great if you focus more on lifestyle & post-grad than the ins and outs of being a PA. The most important thing is that you are happy with what you are doing and enjoying the videos you post

I hope you continue to share with us but if not, i wish the best for your new job and family❤

🎉congrats! I’m in my clinical year of PA school and have loved watching your videos! I’m so happy you are going into family medicine it’s also a specialty I have thought about. I make content as well and would hope you wouldn’t completely delete your channel. I think it’s good to still update us newbies on life in the outside world and also RU-vid can be another source of income( I don’t know if you thought about it this way) ! You can make money just sharing snippets of your day to day or offering like case reviews and stuff , I just think your channel has so much potential and you should let it flourish until you feel it’s a really good reason to let it go.

It’s really good you’re thinking so far ahead to prepare for how this can go down! But yes, i think you’re right, i think it will be something you will have to feel out. I think it’s also fine to make adjustments, and not cancel your channel. I think even doctors would have social media including instagram, so RU-vid is sort of another form of social media, even though it’s a bit more .. intense? I think it’s a normal form of content. Also, you could make 9-5 work vlogs! Lots of people do those and they are very entertaining to watch and you wouldn’t need to share much about your work. Just a thought!

Also, I will support whatever you choose to do with this channel moving forward! TBH, your channel is probably one of my favorites and the only one I consistently watch on RU-vid but I also *totally*understand not wanting to jeopardize your career as a PA! Another idea is that you could always shift more to like “weekend in my life” content or share less about work if that might make you more comfortable from a professional perspective? I don’t know. Either way, it sounds like you’ve got a good head on your shoulders and will pick exactly the right thing to do! ❤
