I’ve actually gutted the whole interior down to the studs, I removed some windows to start restoring them, I had threats of demolition due to having construction debris in the yard, and having cars parked in my drive way. The debris was cleaned up as i had to wait to get a dumpster.
So whoever sold it was allowed to own it for years in that condition and was also allowed to sell it in that condition and never once asked the original owner to do any repairs
A bank owned it for 18 years due to foreclosure. They offered it to the city for free and they declined the offer. Offered it to neighbors who had issue with it being in the state it was. They declined.
