Easily my favorite song from Sleep Token. I usually like the acoustic version of most songs, but the full day version of this song gets me. Bass in the live version is incredible too.
I think vessel needs his mic turned up. Either he can't hear himself properly all throughout and is losing the key here and there or is kinda crying and getting choked up a bit. Sang it mostly well but some hiccups here and there. Don't get me wrong his actual voice is amazing and he sang it very emotionally just here and there the pitch sounded wrong.
I think he purposefully does the whole crying thing to sound more emotional. Like he adds in voice breaks and stuff. Also I think when the crowd is singing it may mess him up a little
This was the first time he performed the song live. He was like this on the first night of the tomb tour as well with a lot of live debuts. Its a very heavy emotional album for him if he's writing about experience. Was a great moment to be a part of the live debut of that song thar night at HMAs tho
This is the first time I've gotten a clear look at the gear they used, and the fact that the guitarist has an M80M and a Kemper makes so much sense how I can get my sound very close to theirs
You know that, just maybe, these are guys that wanted to follow their dreams, do what they love without all the fame that comes with it and invasion of private life?
its actually a good idea. image and uniqueness gains attention, whether it draws more ppl to liking them or not. it's a really good tactic that a lot of bands have adopted over decades
Agree. Too much gimmick n trying too hard. But they do write good stuff n they sound good. Just the theory abt sleep being blah blah blah…and the worship thingy…just trying too hard man. Trying to come up with something out of nothing.
