I first heard of erewhon on the bad friends podcast because bobby lee buys his favourite drink there. Didn’t know they are super upscale. Lol Anyway, man your videos are educational and justifies my choice not to buy t-shirts more than 30$, hence more $$ in my pocket. I still believe that this channel should have at least 1M subscribers!!
Is it worth it? Absolutely not. You’re paying for a name, just like any other designer thing. Recent article came out about Dior and Armani handbags and how they cost $57 to make and sell them for $2780 while paying workers $2 PER DAY. It’s modern day labor slavery but everyone wants “what’s cool and hype.”
@@Shiftfashiongroup what’s the highest quality athleisure brands you’ve tested? I work in a clothing recycling facility so I touch thousands of used clothing and lululemon from maybe around 5 years ago seems to hold up the best. I will definitely check out that lululemon video though cool content!
Love the garment inspector sm, he gives really informative points and tidbits that can get someone who knows NOTHING about clothes into someone who understands more of what they are buying, id love to see more! Awesome content!
Since the new CEO took over ABERCROMBIE all their have products gotten worts and worst and she is keep saying their doing so well in stock market. We want Mike Jeffries back please
You should take apart a real leather jacket one day, theres a good community for them just like selvedge denim, they are more in the “heritage” style which has spread to Japan recently. Schott leather jackets are the top pick but are over 1k I recently got a nice cowhide cafe racer for $500 and a goatskin g1 bomber for $300 they are an entirely unique and rewarding item of clothing to wear, feels like you are wearing armor and it patinas over the years to reflect your use, check em out!
Demna himself has said he designs these lines for people that have more money than taste, and that he wouldn't wear any of those pieces. The guy has just been trolling the entire fashion community for well over a decade now and they just keep asking him for more of it.
Could you do kids clothing such as pjs from carters, children’s place, walmart’s george, loblaws joe fresh, gap kids and the like. Binge watching these videos!!
I love that you are doing this. People need to learn how these big names are making mega profits off of them. Would love to see more production of apparel in the US and Canada but at a retail that is truly justifiable and still profitable.
I think I commented on another Alo video. But I've had plenty of alo clothes deteriorate over the years. Specifically cotton spandex mix items. Where it feels like cotton but it has stretch. One bra just stretched out immensely while a cropped t that I had weirdly stretched out on the back and started going sheer. It really looked like it started bubbling out on my back. The blends aren't staying together. Had another crop top soft stretch cotton blend stretch out and go sheer. I had two bottoms also go sheer and the cotton looked like it started coming off the spandex. The soho material while super nice completely goes sheer in a uniform way. The sweatpants and sweatshirts have all held together. My sherpas really feel indestructible as well. I have some old goddess leggings along with the moto that feel high quality and have really lasted a long time. I'm very particular at alo now.
What that tells me is that Alo's supply chain is quite fragmented! And they have some good suppliers and some really bad ones. That also means there isn't anyone at the brand who can tell the difference as well!
@@Shiftfashiongroup That and Im worried that it may be deteriorating over time. The Goddess And Moto are both many years old so I can't speak for newer leggings as Lulu always fit me better and I'm holding onto those. I think they may have gotten lucky with the sherpa material for the Sherpas in general. I just hate that I can't confidently buy much from Alo except sweats at the moment.
