I’ve been looking up videos of Xcaret Arte so much that yours came up in my feed today. I started the video and at first wasn’t actually watching the screen and that’s when I realized you sound exactly like Woody Harrelson!
Was there a month ago. Our room had gnats flying in the shower, total about 10 throughout our 5 day stay. It must have came through the vents because we didn't open our window. Shower walls and shower head was dirty, mold buildup. The little lamp over the couch was dusty. The beds were very comfortable.
We were there in the Spring and the weather was perfect. Not so hot it was unbearable, but refreshing with the costal breeze that is almost always present.

Sorry for the late reply. Spring is a great time to be in Quintana Roo. The food at the restaurants was really great, even surprised us for such a value resort. The buffet was on the average side.

Hi we booked it right when we got off the ship. There was a ton of drivers whiling to take you anywhere and we negotiated a full day trip around. Super great way to get around with the locals knowing exactly where you're headed
Nice video. BTW, that little island with the holes in it, the Nazis had an 88mm cannon on the hills overlooking Corfu harbor and would use the little island for target practice once a week.
We hated the persistent vacation club/Time Share pushing on us, calling our room everyday and not being able to walk by the lobby (small resort, can't avoid it) without being harassed. Ohhh the resort credits and excursions discounts... You also need to talk to the vacation club/timeshare sales shark people for that and they will be very rude and unwilling to help if you do not agree to their sales presentations. Many unhappy "palace members" when they find their rates are higher than what anyone can find and pay online.
Wait so no reservations for restaurants? I stayed at the Catalonia grand riviera maya and you booked your reservations as soon as you got there ? 🤷🏽♀️
We booked all our transportation at every port when we got to the ports. Nothing was scheduled before we got to any destination. Usually you can find better pricing that way
@@ethan7062 The resort itself and the staff are amazing. The VERY obnoxious new system of forcing you to see a sales presentation before they take you to your room was the thing that ruined our time there. If I were you I might choose a NON Hyatt property. Apparently, this is a new thing and WOW the high-pressured sales pitch, the phone calls at 7am to remind us of our "meeting" and not being able to go to our room, see the ocean and eat and have a cocktail until we agreed to it after a 9 hour flight time is allowed by the Hyatt deal with this travel vacation club.
I'm being quoted 6 grand for 6 nights, so yeah it's pricey but you get what you pay for! Gourmet dining at all restaurants, full waterpark, activities for kids, lazy river, flow rider, night entertainment, fancy cocktails! and if you want a beautiful beach you can just go visit the Beach Palace in the Hotel zone and enjoy that sister resort with beautiful turquoise colored water. If you want a similar resort but a little bit on the low end you can try "Barcelo Maya Palace" at $400/night it's pretty decent.
Was this an infomercial? Secondly, check your dealership because that seems a bit much water with 15 miles. I have 880 miles and have had the car 3 months now and it’s damn near dry.

I was there last January. I thought my room was haunted! But it was an awesome experience.😅 I got the all inclusive and the food was disappointing. The beach was spectacular tho and I found a secluded spot further than the right side

Just curious. I have never been to Cancun before (or out of the US) and going to Cancun solo in mid-February. Do a lot of people vacationing sit on the beach and sun tan? I figured that being down south people would be chilling on the beach, drinking, tanning, etc. In the many videos, I see I don't see much for the sun tanners? Is that just a stroke of luck :) ??
It depends upon where you stay within Cancun and what resort. Some resorts cater to the party-goers, others don’t. If sitting on the beach with a beverage in the sun is what you want to do, then Sun Palace would be a good choice. Or le Blanc, but we went in February for the first time and it was way to chill for me (but everyone is different). I like the more upbeat music throughout the day and a bit more lively atmosphere when I’m not reading. Over the 20 some years we’ve been going for a week in the winter, we’ve met lots of people traveling solo. Strike up conversations if you want, or don’t. It’s all good. I personally love to walk the beach or sit or stand in the pool and read or chat with folks. That’s why I like Palace Resorts, not a big party atmosphere and people are really nice. The service and cleanliness are stellar. I go to Cancun to get into the warm and relax for a week away from work.
Great video! I do have a question. Is the Preferred club worth the extra cost? My wife and I are not drinker's so I'm on the fence if it's worth the extra cost. Please let me know your thoughts
Just returned from there for a 60th birthday surprise bash gift from my wife, with 11 of our good friends. We loved the resort and everything about it. Our only complaint would be that other than the main bar and the Sports bar, the other pool side bars closed at 6:30. My wife and I will definitely be going back.
