House automatically means detached. Now if you say townhouse, that automatically means attached. No need to say detached and attached when referring to dwellings. If you're talking about a garage, you can say a detached garage.
shame about the tacky black gloss kitchen with range cooker. There is a reason split level appliances came along, it was to improve our lifestyle and make cooking a more pleasurable experience. Not forgetting making the cleaning of the appliances an easier exercise. Do you really want to be bending down to check how the cooking is getting on? do you want to be on your knees when you have to clean the oven? The problem we have these days, there are very few of us experienced Kitchen Designers left with knowledge on how to design kitchens for ease of use for the client. Too many builders just throw their kitchen designing over to the likes of Howdens etc, where selling 'boxes' is their only aim. If you are spending you hard earned cash on a new home or just a new kitchen. Get a specialist in, one who has some idea of a practical design and not one from the shed's who just want to put boxes against a wall, and have ''snap shot'' featured cooker area then move on to the next plot on the site. I find generally it is men that ask for, ''a big Range Cooker, A big Chunky Hood, and a American Fridge Freezer''. Rarely do they cook or do the cleaning. Ladies speak up, don't be bamboozled into crazy out of date appliances. Speak to a Kitchen designer before ordering a new kitchen for your new or existing home. ( just in case people think I'm a woman on a mission 'Male Bashing'. I am male by the way with over 40 years design experience, and I'm all for the preservation of good kitchen design).
you really are speaking from a personal point of view as you are in this trade . I am a professional Chef of many years and couldnt disagree more strongly with your views. The kitchen on display here is excellently designed and very tasteful. Induction flat tops and built in Miele square ovens are ugly and just plain boring . Easier to keep clean i give you that one , but other than that you are way off the mark. But then again thats just my opinion, so as you can see its all about personal tastes and not what you want to sell and force onto the buyer .
@@jeffpatterson4774 I appreciate you comments and as you say they are your opinion viewed by a 'Professional Chef'. I ask you one thing, do you think the sink positioned behind you on an Island is the best location? I honestly have no idea how this works in a busy professional kitchen but would imagine with other chefs in there preparing food etc. With others passing behind you at the Hob, the Sink location in this design isn't very convenient. When it comes to draining off heavy saucepans of boiling water and veg etc I would go as far to say it is in a potentially dangerous location. Now in a domestic situation with possibly young children around and possibly pets running around this would be something I would always advise against. Unless there is a second or third bowl for drainage that is located to one side (or one each side) of the cooking area. ( in a professional situation, I would think this is a must, no? ) The main sink for all general use, such as washing veg etc would be fine on the island, with a drainage sink next to the hob. One final point, and I guess your opinion and your final comment was based on an assumption that everyone who designs kitchens is a 'Salesman', and we are all the same. I pointed out in my original comment above about ''getting a professional in' to design your kitchen'', and to avoid dealing with the Superstores such as Howdens etc where I guess you have formed the opinion of ''you want to sell and force onto the buyer''. For you information, I don't ''sell'' anything a client doesn't want, if they ask for something or want certain items in their kitchen. I always point out the 'pros and cons' and let the client decide. I never bully or ''force them'' into anything, it is their kitchen not mine. If they decide against my advice, that's fine with me. I can sleep at night knowing I have offered my honest opinion on what would achieve the best and most practical working lay-out. In the last two years I designed kitchens for the homes of a couple of pro chefs both of which saw good reason to go with Built in ovens and separate Gas hobs. ( go figure? ) Thankfully it is a wonderful world and we are all different and see things differently and have our own opinions. If we were all the same what a dull place that would be. Maybe if I were like the Salesmen you referend to I would drive a £50k car and wear a shinny suit and live in £1m home, but that's not my goal in life.

Sometimes when you look at these beautiful upmarket properties and then read the comments it can be frustrating when you read negative stuff just born out of jealousy and completely unnecessary . But I realise now that your comment was neither of those and was just based upon the knowledge you have acquired doing this professionally . I wish you a happy and successful new year and hope one day I need your help to build a super kitchen in a house like this .

Tuttavia, non bisogna mai dimenticare che la casa viene resa ancora più bella quando è vissuta da" belle persone "(I mean : elegant, bright and polite people) che conferiscono il VERO VALORE AGGIUNTO DELLA CASA. Complimenti anche per l'elevata QUALITA' LINGUISTICA ...Questa è la pronuncia inglese che adoro, cosi come l'Inghilterra ...quella più autentica, che si trova fuori la grande metropoli di Londra.....che sogno !!!!!
