the GD3 is NOT the same exact car.... frame had to be extended by one foot up front to meet US regulations... essentially rendering any JDM bumper swaps NOT DOABLE because US models were essentially their own unique thing
2nd gen Fit is seriously special. I own one, and when I tell people, the only thing people say is "Man, the Fit is a good car". That bring said, all fits are rear beam.
my 2004 Honda Jazz (fit in US) has 120k km. bought in 2010. i still drive it. euro 4 so i can still use it wherever i like. 78 hp, 175km/h, 16 km/l, moved 4 times in it. I did my driving school with the exact same model in 2006. almost zero maintenance, nothing broke, sex in it like i had a bed (girls also like the shifter alot XD) and raced it on a mountain like initial D i will cry like a child while giving it back to the car dealer
Now we have to question the differences between the US Honda Fit vs the EU Honda Jazz. Why does the Jazz outperform the Fit hands down? What keeps the US from getting the gas sipping Jazz?
I’m so confused I have 2010 fit sport and it is the slowest scariest on the highway car ever. And the mpg is garbage like 23mpg??? This feels like a pyramid scheme?
As a GE8 RS owner for the past 6 years - I love my FIT. Love that’s its manual, love that I can do all my own maintenance, love the magic seat space. Even the power isn’t too bad. Probably one of my most favourite cars.
My base 2011 Fit (bought new) is objectively the best car I have ever owned. I added just a few new touches (new wheels, a Carplay unit and minor cosmetic doo-dads) and intend on keeping it for at least another 5 - 7 years.
Wow, I bought one of these three months ago, brought it home and parked one it while I got two other vehicles ready for sale. I sold the second one yesterday and finally got around to starting working on the fit. Right off the bat, I just found that water was leaking into my trunk and started going down a rabbit hole to figure it out. I stumbled across this video. Watching this video and reading the comments has given me a lot of hope for this little whip lol
Great video! Why is not even one video out there that shows the swapping process to VQ? The VQ engine (oilpan) out of a Pathfinder (model year ca. 2000- 2002) should fit into the Z31.
No one forgot anything about the chronologically confused line of various Nissan cars. They have so many variations I would have to become a historian to understand exactly wtf is even going on.
