@BGDressmakingPatterns Same. I am just a sponge so far, taking in all I can. I don't know why I never sewed before... my grandmother sewed all our clothes and was our caretaker when my parents were at work and I just realized the sound of the machine is so nostalgic for me in the best way.
I've been wanting to use shirring to make a linen garment stretch so I could make it into one of those infinity tops. This is definitely a proof of concept for me, as well as a beautiful creation on its own! Thanks so much for sharing!
Partway through making this. Can I suggest that future tutorials both video and pdf use a plain fabric with an obvious right side and contrasting thread? This fabric is beautiful and great to show the patterns potential but so difficult to see what you are doing. PDF nearly useless and I’m pretty experienced. I know that means making two versions but much better for teaching.
