Hi , We dont yet have a video for Full abhyanga. Do you think you could let us know the doubts you had so we can cover all of them in the video? (Would be really helpful for us - thank you!)
@@kryagoodies I think the entire process from head to toe - what is the sequence to follow, how much oil to use, what should you do on face and then how should you clean your face off the oil (can you use bath powder for face also?), how much bath powder to use, how long should these products last i.e. how much quantity is too much or less, which direction should your hand movements be ( only downward? Or direction doesn't matter? Or upwards towards the heart), any don'ts (I saw somewhere that downward movement on legs weakens the legs? Is that true?), do you need to avoid when there is no sun? And so on ... :)
I consume soaked almonds & walnuts first thing in the morning & right after,i consume a glass of buttermilk. Can i consume buttermilk right after soaked almonds & walnuts?
Can I reap the spiritual benefits of Ramayana even if I read it in English... I don't know Sanskrit and the Hindi translation is very difficult than the English... the English translation by Ralph Griffith is easy to understand and I can connect to it better... will it be of any help ?

Namaste, what do you think of applying lime juice to the scalp everyday? Also if could choose the best oil for the scalp pertaining to migraines/headaches what would you recommend? And does applying raw honey to the scalp do anything for the brain? Thank you very kindly!
Lime juice could bleach hair. Honey is not advised for hair use too .Please DM us on Whatsapp with a description of your hair + current hair routine - we will suggest the correct products. Click on this link to DM us - wa.link/c0py4r
Hi there - I am sorry to hear this. Can you send me teh phone number used? (as we get a huge number of enquiries on whatsapp and could have missed your message)? Alternatively you can comment below and we can help too
Basically as time goes by the effect of heating comes down and the water regains its property of high kapha. so the next morning it is no longer as light to digest
People who watch short-form content have fried little brains addicted to dopamine. you gotta show us how to do abgyanga in 60 seconds or we won't do it like, you have me interested but since I don't have a tutorial I'm gonna keep scrolling. no hate just letting you know how ruthless YT Shorts are!
Hello ma'am, I have read in a post that it balances kapha and is good for people who are prone to have sinusitis very easily. But in the video you have mentioned that it balances pitta.
Hi, if you see the video, we start by saying that it is extremely useful to control mucous accumulation and heaviness in the head which is due to Kapha accumulation. we then mention that it is a balanced formula and is also used in certain pitta related conditions like migraine. So it is a multi purpose formula. We have mentioned this so that people understand that no undue reaction can come out of this as teh formula is already well thought through.
Nicely described 👏🏻 Thank you 🙏🏻 Sampoorna avatara, infinite compassion & mercy, the meaning behind the rituals - felt good to hear about these. Demystification of festivals is essential.
Hi there. I'm interested in including Abhyanga as part of my daily routine, as against doing it only twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Firstly, I take it that it's fine to perform an Abhyanga daily? Secondly, I practice an intense form of yoga asana practice (popularly referred to as "Pattabhi Jois' Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga") every morning for 90 minutes - you can think of it like an intense strength training workout. I follow that up with 15-20 minutes of Pranayama sitting in Padmasana. Given that I wish to perform an Abhyanga everyday, would you recommend using the Classic Abhyanga Oil and Ubtan or should I instead use the Intense Abhyanga Oil and Ubtan? Thirdly, is it advisable to perform any kind of exercise while one is waiting for 20 minutes after completing the Abhyanga oil application, or is it better to just perform the Abhyanga after finishing the daily asana/pranayama practice or any other strength-building workout?
But just to clarify for everyone's benefit: You can practice abhyanga everyday after your workout, but that might be a bit strenuous at first and exhausting to the body as Abhyanga takes up around half the energy of a vigorous workout. So you might try doing abhyanga twice a week, preferably on a day when you dont do yoga. Or atleast once a week, to give yourself a day off from yoga and then do Abhyanga. Given your practice levels, Intense Abhyanga system is suggested (Intense abhyanga oil + Intense Men's ubtan). If you are very lean built, you may try a 50:50 combination of Intense Abhyanga oil with Pushti Oil and Intense Men's ubtan. Abhyanga should be done after complete workout (incl pranayama).
Thanks for your reply. A couple of more clarifications please. The reason I wish to incorporate a daily Abhyanga (even if a short 20 minute one) is because I live in the hills of Dehradun and winter has set in here, so I am hoping a daily abhyanga will save me from dry skin issues, which can be very discomforting during the winter months. If I don't do a daily Abhyanga, then I'll have to apply some oil on the body post shower (like sesame oil or one of your oils, if there's any suitable one), but I don't know the Ayurvedic view on applying oil post shower. Do you have any insights on post-shower oil application? Also, I understand that it's advisable to warm the Abhyanga oil before applying. But what about the hair oil being used during abhyanga? Can I also warm the hair oil before applying? Finally, what about oil application on the face and ears during Abhyanga? Do I have to use Abhyanga oil or hair oil on the face/ears? And does it have to be heated or at room temperature?
Hi Anurag, Clarifying your doubts here. Given where you live, a daily abhyanga is a very good idea, if you are able to do it. In this case, please use a very small amount of oil on the face as Abhyanga oil is quite thick and can clog the facial pores. a light application is fine. An alternative is to use another body oil instead of abhyanga oil for pre bath application - in this case teh oil can be applied like a lotion 15 minutes before bath and then cleansed. The effort required for this is less than Abhyanga and can be used on days you are tired. I suggest the Krya Palmarosa baby oil for this - we regularly suggest this for Krya customers living abroad in very cold climates for pre bath use. If this is used, a post bath lotion can be avoided even in cold weather. Link: bit.ly/kryababyoilvata For dry skin, another thing to take care is choice of cleanser. I suggest using one of our Bodywash products - they are in the form of ayurvedic choornams and do not dry out skin like soap / bodywash. Explore here - bit.ly/kryabodywashrange It is not necessary to warm Abhyanga oil - but if done it aids absorption. Same goes with hair oil. For face and ears only abhyanga oil is to be used. As I have mentioned, please use a very light coating of abhyanga oil on face to avoid clogging skin especially if you are acne prone. No need to heat. A final point on heating: an ayurvedic tila paka oil like ours doesnt need to be heated. Generally plain vegetable oils are heated to improve their ability to penetrate skin. As our oils have alreday been processed in tila paka process, they are already sookshma, and capable of penetrating skin very quickly. So the only reason to heat would be if the oil is frozen or has gone solid due to temperature (as we use coconut oil, kokum butter etc in our oils which can become solid in cold weather. The other reason to heat would be simply because outside weather is cold. Hope this clarifies?
Hi there. Is any of your hair oils suitable for daily application for children (9 years old and above)? If not, then which general oil would you recommend? Coconut, Sesame or any other? And should we change hair oil for children based on seasons - maybe sesame in winters and coconut in summers, etc.?
Hi Anurag, For Kids, we recommend products from our Kids Hair oil range. The formula has been carefully researched and created to suit the needs of growing children. If you use our product, it will suit children throughout the year, as we alreday do the needed seasonal adjustments. Thanks for replying back. I'm a bit confused as to which of your oils should I order for my 10-year old? He has straight hair but not an oily scalp. @@kryagoodies
@@AparnaSubramaniammed yes you are right. But colloquially when we combine Sanskrit with other modern languages, for ease of understanding this pronunciation is used by many . This is what I meant. You are right on the Sanskrit pronunciation of kapha.
@@AparnaSubramaniammed for example, in tamizh in Siddha , it is pronounced as "kabham". This is a language specific pronunciation with modification of the original Sanskrit phrase. Same is being done here in an English video and by many. In Hindi , the pronunciation is "kaff". If we were to make a pure Sanskrit video, we would of course pronounce it differently.
