If you use an antenna, then you can watch the Olympics on your local NBC station. I wrote about it here: cordcuttingreport.com/2024/07/18/how-to-watch-the-2024-summer-paris-olympics/ Hope that helps.
Does anyone know the IR remote code to pair a fire stick or Google Chromecast remote? Dangbae says they don’t have one; please share if you know; thank you!
I now know why its popular, XGIMI must be paying these bought out influencers who are biased and do not talk about the major issues so not to deter you, they might say it could be brighter but its bright enough to be fair. bought this projector over some of the cheaper brands and to my surprise, all the reviews on RU-vid that claim that this is a good projector are clearly getting paid to lie for XGIMI. the projector has this sparkle and shimmer/glimmer on the projected image that you can even notice from 2 meters away, i haven't had that effect with other cheap projectors in the past. remote control stopped working after a week, and i have seen many people complain about the same issue on reddit. on the remote i can no longer make any selections or change inputs or switch the projector off. - i have fixed that issue. guys this is not a cheap projector, for the money you pay, its definitely not worth because XGIMI thought they have something great but they don't. THE WORSE PRODUCT I EVER PURCHASED. STAY AWAY FROM XGIMI PRODUCTS, please take this advice because i didn't and now i have a device that i cant even sell, resell value is 150, i paid 600 for this crap. now if anyone wants to purchase this from me i will sell it for half the price i paid just to get rid of it from my home, i dont bother to wait for update for XGIMI to fix issues with their software's because they no longer support this device. also no firmware updates ever, no fine tuning controls such as gamma controls, and of course Netflix does not work, now i have a work around, but why we paying so much for a device that you have to tamper with so much?? thought XGIMI doesn't deserve the licence for scamming people. buy an Epson, triple brightness, no rainbow effect! or Dangbei. if you get a Chinese branded projector, get the cheaper ones. you can get better quality with 200 dollar Chinese projector. they all the same crap... this projector has RAINBOW effect!!!!! meaning when your eyes are moving on the whiter colours you will see a rainbow colour bleed which is very very distracting. guys influencers are biased, they want companies to send products to them for free, you wont know that these influencers are trying to get you to buy the item, and companies appreciate that, so they send items to these people who are in sales. , so they wont point out major flaws, they will only point out the minor problems that isn't really a problem. its psychological.
Question: will it continue to function if it has no internet connection. My Visio V505-G9 will not Pass Go without a valid, active internet connection. That sucks for "Cord Cutting" (vs. Cord Swapping) ....
The Tablo 4th Gen is buggy. Got mine new in Dec. it’s flaky at best with Roku devices. Will crash, refuse to play, give ridiculous error messages like storage full (usually true for me) or weak signal, etc. On my Google TV and iPad, iPhone, it works fine. Sometimes it can’t play if the storage is full but works better than on Roku devices. I like the way it works but I may get something else in the future. Doesn’t bother me I can’t watch my recordings away from home because I have Frndly, RU-vid tv, Pluto, Tubi, paramount +, hulu. 😊
Currently using an older gen. Tablo with a 1TB external drive. The main thing that made me buy that unit was the remote access feature. We stream video recordings from the Tablo at home (near the city) to a remote cottage with spotty antenna reception using Starlink internet. It works great! I hope this old unit never dies because it seems that nobody wants to offer remote streaming access any more. 😞
can a tablo dvr record roku channel 720(antique roadshow)?is roku channel 720 considered to be an OTA channel or a streaming channel its listed as live tv on roku.
These streaming devices cannot directly stream over-the-air broadcast channels..Sinclair and competitors woud have to ser that up. That's highly unlikely. The TV app he mentions is very limited--such content is released way after broadcast.
Hi There Great Video I’m a new subscriber I have had a TiVo x years and love when it works properly so I too , like you, can watch my local channels on the internet 🛜 remotely when I travel 🧳 Which of the boxes you just reviewed allows me to watch my DVR recordings remotely please Thank You So Much
I am a totally blind person and I own a fire TV cube. I know it has voice commands, but I would really appreciate it if you could talk quite a bit about the different accessibility options on both the fire cube and fire sticks. If you could demonstrate and discuss everything, you can concerning the different things to do on the Voice on both devices for people that are blind and visually impaired. It would be a huge help. I know other blind people that would also appreciate it a lot and find it very helpful. If you would do this thank you very much. I look forward to hearing back from you. Have a blessed day. Susan
31 days? Well I hope you got your money back. Bottom line, you get what you paid for. 3 months and it's working just fine for me. No issues or stuttering, just the occasional frame drop. Do your homework everyone. There are more streaming devices than just the BIG 3. Take care everyone.
I dropped my fire stick for the ONN 4k. No regrets whatsoever. For the cord cutters who wants a cheaper alternative to Amazon, Roku and Apple TV. This is just fine. Plus you can side load apps as well. Thanks for the video.
@@alfmeister13 Bro if it was 31 days ngl I probably would've either complained until they took it back or bought a new one and returned the old one. Guess you can use the limited warranty but that's more work.
Roku's closed ecosystem makes it a non-starter for me. I really need to have Kodi and some other apps. With Amazon getting ready to go in a similar direction soon, Google TV devices are looking better.
RE Over the Air Antennas.....please mention that ROKU TVs do not support NEXT GEN ATSC 3.O signals. The ROKU tuner at this point only does the standard 1.0 signal tuning. You have to get a 1.0 antenna without the NEXT GEN filtering. Also please explain that standard BlueRay boxes will not play the 4kUHD format. Thusly to use the ROKU 4k features you have to upgrade to a new BlueRay box and upgraded BlueRay discs. Thanks. Good video.
This projector is not only bright ,but the picture quality is great for a 4k laser projector with a boat load of features , this one is a no brainer for the price , well under the big boys high prices with even less features .
didn't want a boring," this is more junk TV than a sane person would want" advert for Roku - i admit I hate the TV & Roku interface. After hooking the antennae and scanning for channels, (Roku forces you to accept streaming channels if you want to use the antennae) the TV will display a guide with the channel number to the left and the TV shows to the right, as they've always been displayed. But the next time you turn on the TV, that channel guide is gone and in it's lace is the streaming channel guide, with shows grouped according to type on the left and a list of those streaming shows on the right. No more broadcast channel numbers. Where did they go? Where did the local, numbered channel guide go ? Well, if you go to settings/TV inputs/Live TV/scan for channels/start over and let it scan again, the old local TV channel Guide appears again. How can you make it be the default all the time? Is this TV a nightmare of streaming shows you don't want or need? They should at least make it work as a broadcast TV. Is there something wrong with mine? I'm pretty sure everyone is saying just scan for channels and off you go. Does that mean you have to rescan every time you want to watch TV?
