I found your channel today and watched you hike in the Ocala National forest and this video. I was sad to see it has been a year since your last video. I really liked the style and just down to earth style of your videos. Not sure you will ever see this comment, but I hope you still having some amazing hikes / travels.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the comment! I don’t get to take as many trips nowadays, but am still doing them every few months. I do intend to make more videos but right now I’m enjoying the trips without it!
@@jacobsladder3619 I understand. I traveled a lot in my 20s and early 30s, then I had a special needs child and my life changed. Now it is not wandering around with a backpack, but usually a hotel or cabin stay in some city he wants to explore or driving around the state I live in. Hope to see more adventures in the future.
Yes, lots of much larger lakes. From the fwc page “Lake Okeechobee is Florida's largest lake and the second largest body of fresh water in the contiguous United States.” I said it wrong in the video. Thanks for watching!
E-bikes aren't that heavy - typically in the 50lbs range. Some fat-tire or cargo models do hit 80lbs. But, you're right, after the battery is gone, an e-bike is harder to pedal. But, my new Aventon Ramblas has been tested to 105 miles on the lowest assist level on level paved trail- although it is rated for 80 miles.
@@jacobsladder3619 Both: all parts of the plant are poisonous. Eathing just 3 dry leafs can kill you. Handling the plant should only be done wearing gloves. But the fact that you responded a year later tells me you got away 😂And I absolutely agree that they do look very nice indeed.
Ya I saw people e-biking it. There’s an alternative route for biking in some locations so it’s definitely accessible. You may not see some of the peaks though
I am a zionist from Massachusetts who is 72 years old. I have been to Israel seven times. In June we are going to Israel for a wedding and perhaps to Petra and Eilat.
The review is interesting. specially a waterfull between the mountains. Do you need a video editor to assist your channel. we would love to edit first video as a gift for you. let's grow together Thanks
Enjoyed watching your video! It's too bad you didn't get a chance to camp at Hidden Pond we were there this past February and it's a sweet place to pitch the tent and have a nice fire even tho it was a bit crowded. Just FYI there are additional campsites on the back side of the pond accessible via the opening in the trees that opens up to the prairie. We were there during a cold spell and it got pretty chilly which was nice since it kept the bugs away. We posted a video on Hidden Pond on our channel so check it out if you're interested. Cheers!

Hey just wanted to let you all know that Jesus is the messiah. I never believed in Him at all but one day just said if He is can He show Himself and He actually did. I am confident if you ask him He will also appear to you guys also. He does not ignore people who seek Him especially His chosen people which are us Jews
Thank you for sharing the story about big sugar and the toxic algae. This is one year later in April 2024, fish from Stewart to Key West are swimming in circles and dying. The last coral reef in the United States has died and is covered with algae. Tourists have died from antibiotic resistant flesh eating bacteria after swimming at south florida beaches. Its gotten worse.
Classic government and developers plowing up land for “progress” only to artificially create problems and then spending yet more money in an attempt to reverse it (if you get past the conflicting interests).
Great vid. I've been wanting to do the OTL. I have very little experience with figuring out how to stay on a trail (so I don't get lost) and filtering water. Any tips on how to get started? Should I join a group? PS I love Riverbed park!
There are many apps that use gps to tell you when you are on vs off trail. They have become ubiquitous to the point many people never learn how to read maps. I think it’s a good idea to use a map and then reference the gps to confirm decisions. Of course there are trail markers every 150 feet or so to tell you you’re still on trail. I don’t know of any hiking groups around here although there probably are if you go to the Jonathan Dickinson park office. They’re always having events. Maybe try a loop trail in jd first
Great video a little short but a new regard. On the others we see always the german cemetery, the border between Lombardy and Tuscany, the bell at the highest point, Santa Luca monastery and so on… and on the late april, the best
How many times do you have to be told? You are not Jew. You are Europeans who are not descendants of Abraham. You have no birth right to the land you claim to have. You are Ashkenazi. Wake up take a DNA test. Ok, you are Jew but convert, honorary Jew, imitation Jew, fake Jew, but not Jew.
Once you’re in it, it’s hard to turn back :D put one foot in front of the other. I got really sick after this trip. I think it was from the water unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
I’ve run into this a couple times. Always when I thought I had enough to start. It’s a scary factor! Luckily there was plenty of water around if we wanted to get a little mucky. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed!
Wonderful adventure. I must say your channel is highly under rated. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll build a significant following. I especially enjoy your hiking and biking trips. Very inspiring (from a fellow adventure junkie).
We were there in early 2019 and there was construction everywhere. We couldn't figure it out and gave up. No way I was going to ride on Florida roadways. Thanks for sharing!
Haha I don’t blame you. Knowing when to stop is one of the most important lessons on trips like this. Learned that on my Spain hike when I had to stop halfway through. Finishing doesn’t matter if you don’t get home safe! On a side note, it should be more open now than in 2019, with little road riding. I believe the army core has opened up a lot more of the dike
Haha there is a fine line between a ‘not turning back’ mentality and ‘this is dangerous and I need to stop’. Theres also a ‘I can’t stop because there’s nothing around me for ten miles’ factor. This was a risk I was willing to take that day. I know what you mean though!
I drove past here on the Palm Beach Highway from Naples to West Palm Beach. Saw the sign for Lake Okeechobee but all I saw was a big grass berm or dyke so I didn't stop. I should've found a place to stop and take a look. It just looks like a grass bank from the highway. Oh well, next time.
I only hike a mile or two here and there. Usually by myself. A couple things I bring/have/use 1. A good pair of hiking boots/some rubber boots. If I strep on a pigmy/eastern rattlesnake, the boot can take the bite. Not my foot. 2. Cell phone and a whistle 3. Some might not like it. But a sidearm. I have holster for my Glock I tuck under my shirt. God forbid I ever need it.
I forgot to add, I live a couple miles down from the canal you shot when you left hog-land (slough).....sooooo many hogs in the preserve now, but have never had issues with them.
Ashkenazi Jews have no birthright to Palestine, only the Arab Muslims, Christian’s and Jews have birthright. To summarize, white people belong in the west!
Colonial settlers almost always eliminate the Natives in order to better rape and pillage the natural resources and steal land exactly like what happened in 1947-1949 and continues to happen in the West Bank. Messianic colonial settlers are killing non-Jews almost every day there. This has been widely reported (even in the New York Times, a pro-Israeli newspaper). The world is witnessing the bombing of Gaza in real time as there are still reporters still alive and UN aid agencies still present there. Over 100 UN aid personnel have been killed and 94 journalists have been killed since the bombing started. The true colors of the Israeli apartheid, fascist regime are there for the world to see. This has nothing to do with Judaism but everything to do with Zionism. The implementation of Zionism on the ground since 1947 is racist and brutal. Shame on Israel for killing over 19,000 innocent civilians. Shame.
