I would generally do slash the runners with the sabre. The reason is: While in third person it is easier to deal with them. (Also Bayonet has no penetration)
here how to do it:wait for them about to do the jump animation then move to the left and circle 3 time at the 4 time the runner get confused and cant jump you for a short amount of time (you can kill it while circle around but if you want to ne safer then circle 3 time)
