Yes, it's the Manhattan Bridge near Pike & Market Street. I've got to go look under the Williamsburg Bridge to see if there is anything comparable.

the tube needs this so badly because the station bank for the northern line got so much sharp curves, in fact its so curved that they even gotta spam a announcement that says "Mind the gap,"

On virtually all lines that were built later, station platforms were straight, or if there was a curve, it was so gradual that gap fillers weren't needed.

Wouldn’t the guys fingerprints be on the coin he dropped in the Farebox? Nah Oh, yeah the bus engine exhaust doesn’t have right sound either. As a kid, I listened to these buses climb the Sacramento street hill between Stockton and Powell. Seen a few break going up the hill too.

They outweighwed and Are A Lot Of Fuel- a Lot Stronger that the gmc old look - the DD6v71 whined Like a Cow/ The MACK WAS MIGHTY- theat was IRS undoing- more expensive To run- hey you want the best you pay more- did I know Mack went To Sweden in the 50’s to show VABIS how to build a C50 transit bus? It was still running til the 80’s - it’s museum housed now- probably could run another 50 years Great choice thank you fellow Mack lover LONG LIVE THE BULLDOG MACMOST DURABLE TRUCK IN THE WORLD PERFOTMRMANCE COUNTS BABY!! I think this is long gone now. I think it went Digital in 2016. The layout here is just chaos. People staring at the board waiting for their platform to show and then a crush of people heading for it. they need better organization.
@Eccentric-YURR

Why don't they build the platform to be aligned with exits of the train. Why was there a huge gap in the first place?
@jaysaviation2904
@jaysaviation2904 6 лет назад
Eccentric because the platform is on a curve so the train can’t be aligned as it turns making the huge gap
@cats0182
@cats0182 4 года назад
When that station opened in 1904, the cars were shorter, the trains were shorter and only had vestibule doors for entry and exit. The whole thing was VERY different.
@blyn3698
@blyn3698 3 года назад
have you ever put a straight object next to a rounded edge? if so you would know why there are huge gaps. also some trains stop at different points of the station because no train driver is perfect, so having platforms aligned with exits of the train would be a bad idea.
@8avexp
