Sorry I have not. If you noticed I hadn’t put out too many videos since my stroke. I will be working on something soon. I got a battery coming out where I fixed it on a lithium battery coming out.
I did something similar to yours but only shaped the bottom for the transducer to mount and its on a canoe mid way and my problem is the vibration I'm getting when trolling at a high speed, my question do you get a vibration with the taper all the way up?
But if you wanna save some money. And get a really good quality spinning real I would check out this one that I’ve got on my TikTok shop. It’s on a flash sale right now. www.tiktok.com/t/ZTNAGKdmT/
While definitely impressive, unless you actually built the boat from scratch, it will never be the most DIY ever. Many people have started from raw materials (wood, fiberglass, foam, etc..) and completely diyed their kayaks.
It’s 78 pounds total. The seat is about 3 to 4 pounds. Not very heavy. I lifted it and strapped it to the top of my car before not very bad. Hope this helps.
I wanna know where the heck people are buying this kayak for $500, $400, and even $300, when I’m over here in Southern California paying $650?! P.S. It’s called the Lifetime Teton Pro 116, over here.
I produced that video to show that it could be inexpensive to have a better and cheaper transducer mount then they sell on the shelves. If I was to make one and sell it, it would cost just as much if not more than the yak attack version. I have thought about it because I have so many people would like for me to make them. I would have to mass producer it to come out ahead.
The price for materials has jumps significantly since I made that video. But it was around $25 for the PVC pipe and fittings. You can look online to see what the stainless steel quarter 20 bolts and hand nuts would be.
