@@TheLEDwheel yeah that’s rubbers fatal flaw gets brittle with age I would love to see a hobby grade version of it I don’t care for the RC ripsaw that’s out now that JJRC has it’s nice but I would rather have something bigger than the fast tracks that I could do my own upgrades with get spare parts for lol
Bought these for my gelande ii years ago and broke the ring and pinion in my rear axle. Do you know by any chance, what ring and pinion I can put in these that way I’m not throwing away a set of perfectly fine axles? Would love to get them running again
I think there's something wrong with your gt3b for you having to recharge the battery every time you use it. My gt3b is stock and I get 12-15 uses out of Alkaline batteries.
Im not far from you. Im in Hawkesbury ontario. Check my RS super offroader on my channel. I got few rc video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_EdgYykYvO0.htmlsi=DrkILpBAPn_rT1RR
Recently i brought a Remote control car online and play Yesterday. I accidently bang into the wall at the void deck, the car stopped but it still can but move but it will stop. Now the black wire came out, it can't move at all. I suspect must be the motor's wire. But the power and steering seem fine.
So my situation is that the servo works and my new motor doesn’t so did what you said and so the servo works with the throttle but the motor doesn’t work with the steering so is the ecu bad? because it doesn’t work with the throttle?
@RainerKelly if the servo works on both channels then the RX is good. Your ESC or Motor may be faulty. What's the motor and ESC? Is it brushed or brushless.
In my case one channel , my right aileron, was not operating but the left one was normal. so i switched positions on the receiver and the right one worked, but the left did not. ….so this would indicate the receiver and servos are ok. So this is a tx setting problem ? if so what am i missing ?
Gotta love RU-vid. My dad got one of these for $25 bucks and thinks it's so cool he wants it converted to hobby grade electronics. I'm very grateful to see a teardown of the front diff case and servo install, that to me looks like the hardest part.
Been trouble shooting my sons RC. It started with no response in steering. I checked it out, and the servo had sand around it. I replaced the servo, and the new one had a steering response, but randomly didn't respond to left turns and would twitch. The company sent a replacement that has random no response also but the servo will twitch if I tap on the top of the controller.
Maybe a smaller diff output cup with the 3 racing universal shafts, have you also tried one of the little clear donut washers in the diff output cup to buffer the universal shaft? When turning that far it sometimes creates a space between the back of the diff output and the dogbone on the uni shaft
Ok what if your ESC does not respond unless re "binding" the remote every time you turn you car on?? I have a hpi savage xl and I fixed a couple things then after putting it back together I turn it on, no beeps from the ESC.... Turn the remote off and hold the bind button and turn it back on it then beeps. Wait 2 or 3 minutes it works?
I've had a receiver do this. I needed to rebind it every time. It still worked well, but I ended up changing the radio set completely as the receiver in question was no longer available.
creí que era el único que había tenido problemas con esa dirección, ningún servo me lograba funcionar, le hice un injerto al antiguo servo y quedo genial, una lastima que el tulló no se pudo salvar, gran video por cierto.
Odd that mine does not, even after years of use. Just make sure the play is not due to the ball links moving in their mounting points. Like in the skid plate, move them and pay attention to what exactly is loose. The ball in the ball end or the ball on the screw/mounting point. I'm not sure that's clear..
Seeing as the steering arm sits on the flange of the bearing why not drill all the way through. Also counter sunk screws work better to secure bearing as they don't bind on side of bearings
Agreed, but drilling all the way would weaken it way more than it needed to be. Also, for the screw type, the socket cap kind of hides the bearing, making it look like there's just a washer underneath. Therefore, it looks stock ish. If i had longer zinc type phillips i would have used those. All in all it works well.
Hi, is it doable to put/replace the stock axlex with other brand axles in this kit? Since it's already discontinued, I'm afraid I'll broke mine especially the axles. Thanks
I abused mine and its still good but yes there is always a way to modify it. Just have to find the right width and then fit it to the chassis. But some adaptations/mods will most likely be needed. Boom racing might have axles that fit width wise. Otherwise maybe Injora!?
@@TheLEDwheel thanks for the reply, my main concerns is there's a click sound in rear axle and idk what's the noise is, not from gearbox area but around rear axle, I'm thinking about change the whole axles if there's no hope for the parts. I'll go check on the BR axles, thanks 👍
Hey, im in need of one of these chassis, wondering if you could do a 1 off print for me as I don't have a 3D printer, Im in the UK too so would you be able to do delivery?
It's pretty much out of stock everywhere. You would have to keep looking around on ebay and classified sites for it. Look for tamiya 58627 or by its model name.
Nice job upgrading the motor to brushless. I too acquired this RS Hummer H2 and upgraded the electronics - not the motor, to modern parts on my channel. Mine even came with the Mattracks!
Only way to find out is to try another receiver if it works, it was the receiver, if not its the radio. Assuming you are doing the pairing procedure correctly of course.
@@TheLEDwheel the radio has a rapidly blinking red light on it and I recently had to take it apart to fix a broken steering mechanism and since it hasn’t worked
That is important info. Check that your antenna is still connected inside the transmitter . Maybe try something. While binding, bring the receiver as close as possible to the transmitter antenna base area. If it binds, you possibly have a broken antenna wire.
Yo he tenido varios modelos de esos pero la corona se parte porque no viene hecha de acero asi que rapido dejaron de servir no soportan el poder de ese motor
