Thanks for sharing. I’m planning on doing this race in 2025 so it was helpful. With only 8 weeks prep and it being your first half marathon that’s a great finishing time. You obviously have talent and would suggest you can do both - run for the pure pleasure and occasionally race. Well done!

I commend you for learning to enjoy it. I exercise because I have to do it to get the results. I have never enjoyed it. Exercise is endured, not enjoyed. Hopefully one day I will learn to enjoy it.
So many questions?? Are you stateside for good? Are you getting back in shape for next years Open? Who is doing your programing? Who is your coach? I am a masters athlete who needed a break away from the noise. I can't imagine the internal and external pressure that is put on a professional athlete.
