It was right about when I was getting into music. Like, truly branching off. I'd always liked Radiohead and The Strokes and stuff like that. But this was one of the first bands - specifically, this single - that really got me into indie music, at the time. A girl I followed on Instagram had posted her face but edited to look like this single. And the caption on her post brought me here. There was no looking back! This song means so much to me because of that
I love how positively Conan reacts to you guys and the song. It's always great when the hosts legitimately and outwardly enjoy the performances of the artists they bring onto the show. I especially love that it was "Ceilings" that he got to hear from you guys-easily my favorite song of yours.
Oh that’s the band I heard in 2011 thanks to PES 2011! It’s crazy to realise I know this band for more than half of my life! “Sun hands” always brings me great memories and nostalgia
You guys are one of those bands that have mastered their “cool” I love you guys sound and ability to create an entire aesthetic and atmosphere by that sound alone. I have a playlist with plenty of your songs labeled “Coastline Cruisers” 🙏🏿🔥🔥🔥
I love the movie version! 'Throw it in the Fire,' to me, has become an anthem in embracing inevitability. The lines 'Until nothing is left' and 'I'm pure devotion, I'm gonna break' both explore this theme beautifully. The song delves into the idea of seeking something, only for it to fuel something else entirely. I also love how catchy the hook is, and it's fantastic that the strings have a connection to the Rings of Power show. It's all so amazing to see you guys thriving and achieving new heights together after all this time. Keep up the great work!
You were going crazy in the lobby Little champagne and you just lose your mind Mhmm Shaking the contents of your bloodstream Running till the hotel hallways collide Mm What would we do if we have the time? Ooh You look at me and say, "Why me?" That's easy I hope we find flowers in the pavement I, I don't wanna waste it A Casio preset Bossa Nova Jumping as the elevator arrives You in pink silk like Cosa Nostra Lady Madonna leaving a life of crime Mm One day our children will have your eyes, ooh What was that that you said? Rewind Tell me I hope we find flowers in the pavement I, I don't wanna waste it
