They are delicious little birds too, very smart, fast, well camouflaged good looking bird too. Too bad they get pressured by the Eurasian Collared Dove in some parts of the US. Very strong populations though.
I legitimately loathe the people calling it a “childhood bird.” The bird is still around, it’s is us that jump from one interior to another. It’s hard to hear birds from inside a car.
The DNR has its place. But they have so many unconstitutional, outright fucked up rules and policies for state land use. They hide everything they do and when they make changes they entrap the public by not informing them illegally shut down trails and blow up trails with dynamite because "a fourwheeler went through a different hole 5 miles away" they are a shit show. Make harder more difficult rules for hunting and accessing hunting spaces, then Complain that the hunter numbers are dropping every year, no fucking shit. Get out the way and let the counties regulate the land in their area it's the people's land, not the state agency's.
