Some people are born to sit by a river Some get struck by lightning Some have an ear for music Some are artists Some swim Some know buttons Some know Shakespeare Some are mothers And some people dance...
"It's not where you go in Life...it's who you meet along the way" -Unknown. I met a lot of great people in my life and I am very thankful to God that I got a chance to know them.
What a great scene. Some people can effect your life in the smallest way but it will change you in the long run, you can learn from them, love them, or even admire them but they will change your life somehow:
this is such a prodigiously great bit of the film for me. I had a head injury and spent 3 month in a coma, so the bit at 0.27 reminds me of my mums face when she would subsequently come to see me when I awoke from my coma.I love you mum :)
Example G, The old man being struck by lightning 7 times, but still had an amazing life [a home, cars, cattle] and said, “God keeps reminding me that I’m lucky to even be alive”
Example D, The swimmer, who after she aged, finally completed the circuit she previously failed Example E, Benjamin’s father, who still managed to acquire a relationship with, and even leave an inheritance for, the son he abandoned Example F, Queenie, Benjamin’s mother, who being barren, still had an amazing son by adopting Benjamin, and later a biological daughter.
I think the point of this film, is that no matter what gets in your way, you can still live the life you want, if you just move forward. That's what this scene summarizes: Example A, The unusually short guy at the start who still managed to keep company with great women, fine people, and possessed a winning attitude. Example B, The older lady who seemingly had no friends or family, yet played music like a world class pianist.
Some people, were born to sit by a river. Some get struck by lightning. Some have an ear for music. Some are artists. Some swim. Some know buttons. Some know Shakespeare. Some are mothers. And some people, dance.
