I have always wanted to try the airplane quilt and may give it a go! I made the fifth quilt once (large square with two corners tipped in a light color) when I needed a quick boy quilt. I used several charm packs (two or three -I cannot remember how many). The blocks came together quickly and by arranging the blocks in different directions I came up with a striking pattern. I was almost embarrassed by the amout of excitement the quilt recieved! This was a nice selection of ideas - thank you!
I love the waves and airplanes. The waves would look adorable with appliqued sailboats riding on them. Then I think I would try and have the airplanes flying in different directions in rows and then have it long armed with puffy clouds or something that looks like the wind blowing. I have a 6 year old grandson that I still need to make a quilt for. I wish I would have seen these years ago! Thanks for sharing them.
How to you feel that quality of liner holds up? I was looking at options yesterday and I ended up not getting anything because I was concerned that the more affordable stuff (tight budget) would tear apart easily with use
chelsejordan5081, this liner has held up very well for me. I have several all over my house. I keep one in my laundry room so when I get new cleaning bottles I don't have to struggle anymore to open them. I've also made them in different sizes and I carry the smaller ones in my purse to open water bottles. Have a great day.
Does this foot pedal has variable speeds? Mine is the same model and it doesn't matter how little or much pressure I apply on the pedal it just has one speed.
@lisbethdc6434 my foot pedal has variable speeds. Sometimes when I've hit it and not paying attention it goes very fast. Hopefully you can get your foot pedal to working with variable speeds. Have a blessed day.
