Toy discussions - figure comparisons, insights, history of toys, collection photos, and reviews.
Find your favorite toy lines here. Primarily focused on Transformers, GI Joe, and Wrestling, but revisit other vintage toy lines such as Star Wars, Batman, M.A.S.K., He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and others!
Nice, I really love the blue Sedan! I love the mail line of the classic stuff, but I'm a strange person and would love to find some of the really odd (and, some of it really dumb,) stuff, like Sandbot, Powercycle, Radio AM Robot, the green Estrela Bat-Robô Pick-Up, Dorvak Bonaparte Tulcas, Diaclone Gats Blocker, and any of the Trasformer stuff made by GiG.
ive been trying to find atleast a pic of this 2.5 gi joe i had as a kid. he was bald black guy, headband and sunglasses. white tank top, short shorts and like wrist bands and i believe leg warmers. and everything was neon pink or green. anyone have any clues it would be appreciated
We are lucky enough to have most of these playset, including most of the Honorable mentions. We don't have the Flagg though and to be honest, I wouldn't want it anyway, Terrordrome and Defiant ar much better playsets
For "Evil Jetfire", if I were in your position I would've used a VF-1S Strike Valkyrie from the 1984 Macross: DYRL Movie. Beyond that, it looks quite impressive.
My all-time favorite GI Joe custom would be Honda Lou from the second miniseries. I've seen pics of them, but seriously, the only reason I ever look at Super 7 is because they have dared do some Sunbow figs which were longtime wishes as a child of the time. There are others that would be cool, but I always wished she was a Joe, despite the fact I'm not a fan of cowboys lol
Hey Ken do you know what would be super cool to post links in your see more for more love chat that you do on other channels because this way many of us enjoy watching your love vids. And sometimes you say something more on those live vids. Thanks buddy have a super awesome day. 😎😎
This was a fun watch! I think you did a good job on the Decepticon Jetfire. Could you hit that wrestling figure with a shiny clear coat? Probably help it match better, just an idea. Love the Mando BAT. That Sparkplug is really cool too. The honorable mentions are pretty solid. Ken-Dar, haha how cool is that! Heheh, I’d have thought that Ken-Dar would be #1. But awesome video, really enjoyed seeing this. Have a blessed day!
Thx Mython! Yeah it was hard to narrow the choices and each individual story made it all the more special. Man, i dont even know if i could paint that Jetfire up today... that was such a different time in my life when he was done!
Glenda and some of the other female intelligence or black ops specialists they should do a box set with Scarlett, Glenda, Lady Jaye, and Agent Helix in different special mission and undercover outfits.
I just sold a buy of stuff for pennies to a store and I regret some of it but I cleared out a lot and paid down a credit card. I’m refining the collection I have left. You are on point about everything you said about selling. eBay sucks
Omg 😳 I could never stack my figures in lines like that. They fall over enough already. lol usually when I take something out for a review or to dust I always knock them over. Hence I have wide shelves so I can keep them away from the edge. lol hence the broken stalker heel and one viper heel last year.
Super awesome massive collection, and WOW on the customs if I didn't have to get rid of my star wars I would had had some what of a huge collection as well cause I had almost everything for star wars and over 1000 figures and 100's of vehicles, but at least I am building up my GIJoe collection 300 plus vehicles and over 1000 GI Joe figures, you must have thousands of action figures since you have so many action figure lines, you can do a figure count shelf by shelf then you might have a clear Idea, you clearly have thousands by the looks of it, super impressive collection
That’s awesome you have just a fantastic collection and just love all those GIJoe customs. Sargent Slaughter Mountie and the so I just thought of renegades as marauders wicked
The Killing of Optimus Prime is a cautionary tale: Take care of your beloved fictional characters. While there are benefits in killing Prime in terms of story telling, the reality is that Hasbro got rid of him just to make way to sell new toys (I feel like Dinobot’s death in Beast Wars was handled a bit better imo). Imagine if Lucasfilm made a Star Wars sequel Trilogy and carelessly got rid of the old cast just to make way for new characters we barely know or care about. Oh wait…
I do... wait, I just re-read your name. Who's Bart SIMON? I thought it was Bart SIMPSON? AWW and here I thought I had a famous person in my comments 😅😅
with jjazwares having the license to make Owen Hart figures and AEW having the Owen Hart Classic, at some point a wrestler MUST WEAR OWEN HART tribute gear that is literally copy of Owens king of harts gear and or his 97 era gear, that way we can all just do a head swap and be happy. Jazwares, i am open to job offers in your think tank, i’ll work form home. You’re welcome
This is awesome I seen your video on this but now I can comment. You inspired me to order this for my custom USS Flagg it will make great addition to install into it
Nice list. The VF-1S Strike Valkyrie from Super Dimensional Fortress Macross is my fave Valkyrie as it was the aircraft of Lt. Cmdr. Roy Fokker/Focker, Skull Leader. Have you thought of doing a video on the original Macross or the Americanized Robotech version?
As in doing a toy history? I know Secret Galaxy has done some really good ones on Macross and Robotech. I would consider it in the distant future. Just need to watch the cartoon properly.
Hi Ken,Great video about Complete History of GI Joe-1980s Vintage Toy Documentary|Supercut|3.75" keep them coming, Also your previous video was magnificent, Also it's not a doll!!! 🙂 He's the premium action figure. No matter the era, G.I. Joe is there🤍 Also This was a great stream! Also Really wish you would continue with 1990-1994. There's still some good stuff during those years. I don't know how it's possible for it to both feel like we just left Augusta and that it was a million years ago. It was such an outstanding and unanticipated pleasure to meet so many people in this community. Each day of the convention was more fun than the one before it, due in large part to everyone I got the chance to meet and hang out with. It was great meeting you, Ken and I can't wait for the next one!
Transformers the Movie may not be perfect- but its far more preferable to G. I. Joe the Movie, where Lt. Falcon, Jinx, and Tunnel were severely misrepresented. And the Transformers were spared the likes of Cobra-La. Thank you for stating that Duke was just the field leader, as First Sergeant, as the animated series took a LOT of liberties from what was established in the Marvel Comic series by Larry Hama. Regarding "Till all are one", given how Hasbro's acquired other toy companies, a running gag over at Dan Larson's Secret Galaxy RU-vid Channel when Hasbro gets a new company is, "Hasbro- Till all are one!" Have you done a video on the animated G. I. Joe series by Marvel/Sunbow and its movie? That should be interesting.
Thx! Have you seen my take on Duke during the Devil"s Due comic run? I think they did well to put him into Black Ops to better establish his skill set and make him more well rounded. I actually just chatted with Dan the other night as we did a recording for Geek Dad Life's audio podcast. Haven't done an 87 Sunbow movie take yet for Joe. I am not as big a fan of that film as I am on the 86 TF one, lol.
@@ToyKennections Same here. The '86 Transformers film was simply better thought of as a film compared to the Joe version. DDP did make Duke a black ops type, but their initial series just can't leave the cartoon elements alone- their second series, America's Elite, with General Joe Colton in command (which I feel was way overdue) was better, but DDP's best Joe title was G. I. Joe Reloaded which finally took a more serious take on Joe. Btw, Duke's opening scenes in DDP's G. I. Joe #5 was a riff on Arnold Schwarzenegger's True Lies, down to looking for the restroom and dowloading info.
