I bought new a Cougar V6 ( ford Contour with hatchback , 80 % the same ). with handling pack ( 4 wh disc brakes ). has had 2 problems - the rear hatch struts failed ( easy, $ 25 replacement ) and at about 60 thou mi the auto trans went wacky - frequent shift from cruising in 4 th gear it'd drop down to 2 nd etc.... took it to Merc dealer and a large private shop in N.J. - they did Nothing. took it to a ford dealer in a different state - sure, come back in 2 days & we'll have the parts. fixed in 45 min , not one problem since - 20 thou miles plus. No rust , no torn seats, cracked dash vinyl , 20+ years old not bad. clean PS - the plastic headlight have glazed over and no replacements available... how can this be , obviously a 'safety feature'
I have the 1.4 multiair Bravo sport since 9 years, very happy with it, only problem I have currently is the clutch pedal start&stop switch doesn't work properly anymore, so I have to keep the start&stop off, no any other problem at all, I recommend the Bravo :)
I bought mine brand new in 2006 H-3.It’s had problems but well worth it to keep the most robust vehicle and rarely seen on the road.I love mine and handing it down to my 12 year grandson.
Steeringwheel does not center itself on highways. Correcting direction Constantly is a common symptom in this case. However, people tends to believe having a heavily behaving steeringwheel, which is not necessarily the case.
Strange. Volvo is the best car period! That is the brand that goes last to the scrap yard for 30 years in Norway! And which brand has the world records for longest milage?? Toyota is driven by very old people who always has a warm garage. And they never goes over 70 km/t. So no wonder they come at nr.3.
Do not buy used V40 from 2012-2019 unless you want to learn how to repair engines. This car is a reliability catastrophe and I'm amazed how people consider it to be at all reliable. No, it is not. Get in touch with reality. If a car has a catastrophic engine failure, that means that you will eventually have to spend thousands on an engine which other car owner should never have to worry about.
I love my V6..but I've developed a chirping noise .seem to be exhaust manifold..I think

2024.This is not a good review at all. I have a 2009 fx35 with over 210 thou. miles and it is still running great. The only major issue so far is the Diff Bushing, which i replace with the Z1Motor bushing kit, and all is good. INFINITI should bring this suv back, in the same fashion, as i now see all type of other mfg, are now making the same shape. But they are too expensive. The fx35 was just right.
Fiat 1.3 multijet I thought was very good had it in a Panda 130k miles economical good economy only issue was EGR clogged every 36k miles awkward and expensive to replace should have been made a service item with easy replacement engineered in.
I have an Australian 2001 1300, manual model. Best thing is the factory cassette/CD player! Cassettes!!! Analogue sound amazes all who enter. One at a time, though... I took out the back seats to get me a van and they weigh a ton. Fantastic economy now. I wanted a car similar to the best I has ever owned, a mini minor panel van, and this is just an upgrade of that for the 21st century. Got me a bargain with only 150k on the clock and it easily does 110 kph at 3500 rpm. All class.
I have a 2013, D2. Its never had any faults since new. It has only had fluid changes (sometimes, not even on time) never changed trans fluid either. Its gone 150 000 ish km. Its just one of 6 cars I own. Used to be the only one I had hence the last 2 years its only used to go to shopping centers, some stores, anywhere where getting hit by kids, and careless morons is likely. Its dented, dinged and scratched pretty bad. Still means its used like 4-5 km daily. I have had to change both front springs I might not drive that slowly over curbs and shit xD and had some rusted brake disks, but that's everything. Its basically been slightly abused, but never faulted on me once. One of my other cars a 2024, model, bought new has already had an issue, needing a workshop visit, and it has been driven normally. (Mercedes GLE) Its all down to how the factory line was working the day your car was built... My V40, must have been right after lunch when machines and people alike were at their freshest or something. And my poor GLE, must have been the last car that day, when people were going on vacation that day or something. Least I'm getting a new car by Mercedes so its not a problem...
I leave this comment with the video paused from the moment you said that the 2.2 engine is the best cause it's economical. Only an idiot buys and bought a Peugeot 607 for economy. This car is not about economy. There only two engines good for this car. The 3.0 V6 petrol and the 2.7 Hdi. Now I close the video .
Hello there I just picked up a 2007 V6 two-wheel drive I noticed when I go through the gears slowly like I'm trying to go slowly when I get to overdrive sometimes it gets a little rough for a second that's only if I have a really light foot on the gas I'm trying to just nudge into overdrive is that normal thanks for the video
