I drive a 2000 Camry 4 cylinder XLE with 454 K miles. I bought the car in late 99 with only 700 miles on her and the rest was all me . Those 454 K miles have come almost 99% trouble-free. If you decide to buy a new Camry and plan to drive it until the wheels fall off my biggest recommendation to you is to make sure that you really really like the you're going to be looking at it for the next couple decades.
I have a 2010 Camry SE 6th generation now 12years old best car I have had next to a02 Honda Accord I had love my Camry it's got lots of pwr like my 2010no issues eva. Thanks for sharing 😳
I totally agree with the comments here. Great and bulletproof car. Reminds me of the 2nd generation GS300. Of course 20 years later you can't compare, but the way it is built is the same: meant to last
Camry is my best car l don't think I can use other cars than Toyota Camry, I have been using 2004 model for years now and I don't have problems with it
New Toyota HVAC System Grows Toxic Mold and Bacteria due to Design Defect, makes Owners and Families Sick, Toyota Conceals the problem. CLASS ACTION .......Alfred Salas et al v. Toyota Motor Sales, USA., ...
I had a 1997 with 350.000 miles on the clock and the car ran like brand new, handled like a dream in the snow . The transmission shifted perfect and smooth as butter . The interior was in great shape , the breaks were great , and I seriously miss the car a lot unfortunately I fell on hard times and sold it . Now I'm driving a peace of junk 08 focus that's having transmission issues .the engine and wiring under the hood Keep having electrical shorts .the car honestly handles like a cork in water on the highway and it's horrible in the winter . The good news is the Focus is gone and I have a 2009 Toyota Camry LE 2.4 and nothing but good luck once again . Toyotas don't die they keep running like new even though they are a plain car , the build quality and gas mileage and reliability are worth the plain look . And hey if the look is a bother. The Camry looks great with aftermarket wheels and some light tint on the windows and the stereo is super easy to swap out for an after market unit . Toyota all day everyday.
While I love my Toyota Aurion aka V6 Camry you can’t help but notice they cheap out by going fwd, not to mention the dashboard on the 2007 to 2017 Camrys very commonly have rattles or squeaking noises while driving.
I bought this exact model of Camry. 2014 with under 30k miles for less than half of msrp. Runs and drives like a new car. I could probably daily it for the next decade. This car is 100% worth it. Highly recommended.
Any new car can last a long time, just depends how you take care of it. I have a 2007 Camry V6, no major problems with it engine wise only just little things here and there but it's still running good.
I'm an Uber driver & I just bought a used 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE with 53k on it. So far I put 250 miles on it & it still has a 1/2 tank of gas left. It rides so so nice & very quiet. The engine/motor puts out 200 HP & it has unbelievable get up & go. I have to be careful when nailing it because of torque steer. The radio is absolutely awesome & has subwoofers that make the mirrors shake.
Does the 2012 Toyota Camry XLE have a CVT Transmission? I am asking because I want to add LUCAS fluid to the transmission because of a shutter I am experiencing at about 45mph. Car has 165k miles. Please advise. Thank you so much. Be well. JC
Toyota Corp. Japan are just smarter businessman, than the heads at GM or Ford. The 2021 Camry 2.5l , still uses the exact same 4cyl engine as the 2012 model Camry. Why: Because the Toyota 2.5l , 4 cylinder engine. has been built 'Too Well' !
Usa buoght Toyota campany because Japan made long lives cars and that was dangerus for Europa and America car companies. Because the people wanted buy toyota cars (reliable ). Us and Europa car companies was at risk.Usa buoght this company to produce not more long life cars
He is talking about a 2012 Camry. Depending on what level you get, base, LE SE etc it won't have everything he showed on it. I own a Camry LE 2012. I think it has everything he mentioned.
@@lltatl1649 Yep. Had the trans serviced, coolant flushed, plugs changed a few weeks after I got it at a Toyota dealer. Dealer pulled up all the service records from the original owner, was a well maintained car.
@@stlyns thanks for the response and I can look up the car fax they kept up with the oil changes, but is it worth it? How much did it cost you to do all that? thanks
@@lltatl1649 The dealer provide the Carfax for free. The salesman was a relative, so I had a bit of inside help. I also got work orders and receipts for things done at the selling dealer when they took the car in on trade. About $1,700 they put into it.
@@stlyns I test drove the car today and it was smooth ride but the back window button didn't work and a Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit code popped up so I left it
8 years later, my exact same Camry hasn’t had oil changes for 10k miles at points, gets driven to redline every single day, has 150k miles on it, has been hit 2 times, and still drives like a complete champ. This car is bulletproof
Did you know? Some Camry's had an oil consumption problem, so much so, Toyota extended the warranty. The CVT trans are junk, but better than Nissan. The earlier 4 speeds were bullet proof.
I just bought a used 2012 Camry Atara, from a car yard in Launceston Tasmania Australia exactly the same as the one in this video except in right hand drive, but with only cloth seats. I just spent the day cleaning and detailing it, and apart from cosmetic stuff like scratches on the paint , a thumbnail hole in a tail light , a smashed fog light and grille trim broken ( previous owner probably hit a native animal at nigt ) it's great! The build quality of the Camry is solid and the body panels are in perfect alignment even at 8 years old and the rubber seals are perfect! It drives very well even if it could do with an oil change and spark plugs. The stereo system it comes with is very good even at 8 years since it's release, plus it has a reverse camera already fitted which i can connect to the new stereo. I managed to pair my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in seconds and transfer my contacts to the car. I have a 10.1 inch Android Head unit on order that is an exact fit with matching facia, connection to the steering wheeel controls, and has the canbus box so no fault codes on the car. I've added a USB stick DAB+ Radio and a Tyre Management System to the new stereo as well, so as long as the car keeps running i'm future proof! There are so many parts available for Toyota Camry, even aftermarket that you won't ever have to worry about keeping it on the road. If you are thinking of buying one as a used car, you couldn't go wrong!
My gf got pissed when I bought a camry. She said "you're rich enough to have anything". Its been 7 years, the car is perfect. She's been gone a while lol
