okay people trashing on sakura but naruto literally soloed pain, sai is an anbu member, the two cloud ninjas are connected to the cloud's jinchuriki and directly assigned this important of a mission by the raikage. meanwhile sakura is still a chunin who's specialty isn't even 1v1 combat as she's an elite medical ninja who also has monstrous strength. i mean come on, at least she was able to keep up with the others here
Naruto could have solo'd here but I think this is the difference in REAL combat experience at work here. Sai has been doing missions since forever so he battle tested. He knew exactly how to support Naruto. Sakura was taken off guard by it. 1. She isnt used to having to fight like this regularly. 2. She normally is in a medical role. 3. She has NEVER seen Naruto go straight to offense without doing something rediculous first. 4. The first thing she did was take a step back when Naruto charged forward (instinct or surprise you be the judge) Naruto combat skill came out in full display. Getting the jump on them, using a sword to parry the biggest threat, using an elbow to keep an obvious sword user at bay and allow his team to support him, using a clone to catch the other fighters strike and allow openings for attacks. Good stuff. Not that Sai did bad or Sakura necessarily, but had this been say Kakashi and Guy, they would have punish them immediately off of what Naruto did. I mean that would have been a Neg dif fight
Tbh Kishimoto should’ve let this been a short fight between team 7 and Kauri and Omoi. And let another character intervene like Shikamaru or something. Would’ve been a clean ass fight and would’ve gotten to see another side of Naruto
