It is not a 2 phase compressor. It is a single phase compressor at 240 volts. Both hot legs are center tapped in the distribution transformer as a delta configuration to create the neutral for 240 volts, hot to neutral is 120 volts. If it were derived from a wye configuration, it would be 120/208 volts the common from both legs is the neutral
Hey thanks for making this video, been doing HVAC for 3 years but moved over to installs to help them out within the last few months. Currently all my tools are just thrown in a 5 gallon bucket so you definitely gave me some ideas!
1990 John Wood NG-HWHT to 2007. 2007 John Wood NG-HWHT to 2024 2024 John Wood NG-HWHT to 2041ish? Flushed every 6 months and always equipped with an expansion tank. Only outlasted by our cats, Diane 24 and her sister Maryanne 26, Figo 23, and his sister Ninha is still kicking at 24 years of beds, dishes and toys washed only with water heated by John Wood.
when the damper doesnt open the boiler wont turn on that means theres no heat, aka no heat call. sequence of operations is the damper opens firsts, luckily you can bypass the damper by flpping the switch as he did and now the heat works.
If you were a real Samsung technician you would have used the Samsungs diagnostic cable to say 100% that the board is bad, not just guessing ... "another well done job"
Every stage in the installation procedure has been broken down into clear, thorough explanations that are simple to follow. We provide quality Raypack pool heater spare parts, in case anyone is in need of them.
I'd like to make a correction. Anything less than 1 Megaohm is considered a failure, while in reality, I've seen motors run with less than that. 50 Megaohms is a very good reading.
No, with a multimeter, you could only test to see if the compressor is grounded or not! An insulation tester will test the condition of the insulation on windings, whether it is good or bad or on its way out!
Having been a service man for a Carrier commercial contractor, I've seen that brand be dud when new as well. Check valves distorted during install due to heat leaving bypass and low performance on a 2 stage system. Trying to figure that one out was a duzzie. And repair was even more so. We had to tear the entire system apart to access the valve and replace it. Customer was a dentist with 3 systems and could never get one area cool on hot days. I personally did heat gain calcs in an effort to figure out the culprit. Unit would produce some production which made things more dicey. It's part of business in America (and elsewhere).
