Monash Rural Health is dedicated to improving the health of people living in regional, rural and remote Australia. We do that by training future health professionals - medical, nursing and allied health students - in partnership with rural and regional health services stretching from Mildura in north-west Victoria to Bairnsdale in the south-east. We also run a research program investigating ways to improve the rural health workforce and health issues important to rural people.

Hi Jeffrey, this part refers to specifically to our Dean's Rural List. The Dean's Rural List is an entry scheme that can help your chances of entry into medicine if you have lived 5 years consecutively (in a row) or 10 years cumulatively (in total) within a regional area of Australia.
@@MonashRuralHealthBoth entry options talk about the Dean’s Rural List, does that mean your chances are significantly lower if you dont live in a rural area?
Hi Michael, thanks for letting us know about your experience with the hospital. We get a lot of positive feedback from students who’ve done placements here, but clearly your experience has differed from what we and the hospital strive to achieve. If you’d like to email us, we’re interested to hear more about your experience: rural.health@monash.edu We have a great relationship with the hospital and will certainly share your feedback with them.
@@MonashRuralHealth There is fourteen words in my first post, you reply the typical defensive ""concerned"" contact us method after a wall of text, but you obviously didn't read (or was too bum hurt) to pay attention to what it is I say. Pretty sure it would be as useful as banging my head on a wall emailing you guys :)
