It is actually really nice. It's a good model. I think you'd enjoy it in your collection. I've bought a few for a could friends and family that like star wars.
How do you get a version of sentinel that will connect to the bcd160dn scanner, tried everything, did hook up to allow firmware update, so it is communicating.
I will add that to my list. I've been busy with family and health issues. I will try to get it out as quick as possible. I don't have editing software so I'm trying to figure out how I'd do that with my phone video and served capture on my computer. So please give me some time to figure it out and make the video.
With me BCD325P2 when I try to create multiple profiles every system gets corrupted. Create just one profile and save each system individually. To avoid corrupt files just load the systems you need and upload to your 325P2. I noticed it wouldn't let me save 2 systems on the same P25 trunked system.
Good instructions, but you don't actually cover the connection between your scanner and Sentinel. My Sentinel software no longer see's my BCD436. I've tried various ports to no avail. I've checked my ports with other equipment and there isn't any issues. I also tried reinstalling Sentinel several times, no luck.
For the life of me I don’t understand how you could keep track of who is who on the quick keys. Maybe you keep a cheat sheet? Also a quick tip would be to expand or full screen those windows and save yourself from sliding left right, up, down and see the whole thing at once.
Hi. As far as remembering who is who. I've had scanners from back in the day where you only saw the frequencies with no names and had banks and channel numbers. I had to remember that I couldn't always keep a cheat sheet on me, especially while working. I'll try to expand the program windows in the next video that I've been trying to make since this one. Agree, superglue can fix these minor problems so long as the paint isn't affected. You are a good sport about the lack of qc. Some collectors would have had a meltdown!
Hmm, something else is causing me to continue to get "Scan Mode, Nothing to Scan" even though I have turned on those manually set up groups. I can't figure out what changed.

626hawkeye I am just getting back in to doing scanners and had help getting the 536 hp programed but I a lost how to do this. I would like to make a back up just incase. I would like to copy over for my mom and dad they have a home patrol 2 and like to copy my list. Can you help me?
Well I may be dumb cause I am not sure how to add more channels to the scanner and not really sure how to use the sintanl program. I know once I get it I am sure that I am just not getting the concept of the scanner on how to add. Any thoughts on this and thanks for getting back to me! @@626hawkeye
ohm i have been to that site and when i try to install it i get that the download has stopped due to my windows defender decking it as unsafe ---unknown publisher. Is it safe for me to download and installing it
Do you know how to open a pfl someone sent me as apparently it stores the system path so when I try to open it all I get a batch of new system folders ?
I'm sorry. I only have the mic on my laptop. Can't really do anything about it. I'm not rich like others that make videos and can't afford special mics.
So, is there a thing similar to the Radio Shack PRO 107 OR 197'S "Wildcard"? Where you would park on a trunking control frequency, and whatever voice came up would list talkgroup ID...

I got s.ome of it figured out. Our current radio system is unlisted so I'm in the process of figuring out control channels and talk groups. But thank you for the offer
Good morning. I have not been able to find any information on how to properly "unmount" or "eject" the SDS200 from my laptop after I do firmware and database updates. I am hoping you can provide some guidance. The owners manual says to just turn off the scanner and then disconnect the micro USB. Is that correct or are there any other steps to take to avoid corrupting the card? Thank you
