Welcome dear friends! Unwind, kick back and discover with the English Gentleman, as we explore culture, art, history, neuroscience and more - all through the relaxing power of ASMR!
Expect whispered flip-throughs, unintelligible whisper readings, gum chewing science and more as ASMR is our gateway into a world of learning!
Please keep making videos mate! Be cool if you did a few flip through videos, instead of reading pages just a glance over of an entire nat geo book or something. Think ppl would like that
Thank you so much! That’s very kind of you 😊 the book contains a full English translation at the end so I could revise the video and add comments/notes to translate!
I relate to the public transport! My first asmr was a friend in school doing a word search & then I noticed drawing/maths/architectural mapping, back mapping & drawing maps do the same for me.
I find it interesting is as I was looking up inventions James Watt was accredited to, one that stood out to me was the rotary engine because I always thought Felix Wankel was the first to invent the rotary engine
History on this topic is an interesting one isn’t it? I wonder if entrepreneurs of the day made it so it was their name that lived throughout history, despite many individuals contributing as a whole
@englishgentasmr I didn't get very far as I actually had to pay attention to this one. I will listen Saturday while I work on my bow. Regarding arm guards: When the string catches in your clothes it fouls the shot as well as potentially damaging the clothes, and when the string hits your arm it is called string slap and it can be really painful. It leaves an embarrassing bruise that tells everyone that your bow slapped you because you shot with poor form. ;)
@sarasmr4278 that’s a great anecdote thank you for sharing! Yes, that must have been a concern, particularly when society would have placed a lot of value on martial prowess. Bruises then would be like not knowing how to use a computer properly in this day and age!
It’s how I first came across the park! I studied the play at drama school before the film came out so was always highly interested in it. I believe it is Alice Ayers who plays a key role?
