Mostly 80’s and 90’s Vintage LEGO sets from my childhood! Everything Lego pre-1998. Usually I stay true to the original sets, but in my displays I incorporate some newer minifigs, MOC’s, and landscaping/environment in progress! I’m a HUGE fan of the original Castle LEGO’s in particular, and right now that's the main focus and display! #legovintage #vintagelego #lego #legocastle #vintagecollectibles #legoknights #legoclassic
Your kids must love this! Lucky children. My daughter has got my He-Man/She-Ra collection to play with. My limited castle dragon nights - I prefer her not to play with them yet, she’ll loose pieces
Nice and a few years ago i had the idea that if i was able to buy one of those old castles from the 1980s it would be a forward operating base for mainly my modern army at that time but now it could serve the same function for my Lego knights
I was not familiar with this castle. I've been an AFOL for 15 years -- and I'm focusing on the current line of castle/medieval sets (Lions Heart and pretty much everything related including GWP). But enjoy learning the history of Lego Castle line. I appreciate your emphasizing this castle is not as small as it appears in photos/videos. Thanks.
This is the only Lego channel I come back to…. The castle Lego is the best. If I didn’t already have my room full of He-Man collectables I could see myself collecting Castle Lego.
Oh nice! Absolutely - and we will eventually feature more than just Vintage Castle! (that just happens to be my favorite as well - pre-1996) ;-) But think 'Space' 'Pirates' and 'Town' vintage themes to come!!
@@vintagelegos 7:03 this knight according to instruction should not have a cape at all. Only that knight with blue and black horse barding should have red cape which he has.
It really is! Not a lot of specialty pieces (which I like), except the 2 big Knight's horse bardings - those usually have broken clips - as well a the square Black Monarch (black knights) flag.
Yeah that's a common opinion. I get it. I always say though, there is room for imagination or adding to the set! Or figuring out how to combine elements from other sets into this one ;)
Yo this is tight as hell bro, I like how this mountain ridge looks. The tower coming out of the raised baseplate is real imposing up there. I like the recent wall you just did and where you put it. Really, the whole setup looks great. Any bigger and it's TOO much, but right now it all looks incredible and imposing
Oh my! that looks great! You've got the perfect setup for your Castle lego... nice big room Do a updated video of your whole setup... with the dragon nights and Forrest men and all.
Really like adding the mountain fortress to black falcons but id recommend going with model B but putting a ladder by the door the the black falcon wall and expanding the wall and adding a walk way as a second layer behind the gate or black falcon fortress and adding a ramp to and maybe add some latters and maybe added some small wall like structures to the burps for defense and access for the black falcons
I am not a big fan of making the mountain fortress a black falcon castle But i would suggest to take some inspiration for the black falcons from the bloody gate from asoiaf(game of thrones)
That is probably the original flag. It most likely survived because it wasn't stored on the pole for 30 years. The clips on the old flags almost always fail if you leave them attached to anything. That flag was only included in this set. (The 2002 re-release was slightly different with a pointy bottom for the crest.) Congrats on the set and thanks for making this video!
I put this on my Christmas wishlist when it was re-released in the early 2000s. Some relatives were surprised I picked it over the newer, flashier King Leo's Castle, but I never regretted it. It formed a great starting point/addition for my own castle builds, and the minifigures are still some of my favorites.
Man I really like this set even though I never owned it I always used to think the set didn't have enough horses and should have had a peasant but great review as always and I am excited to see where you place this in the castle kingdom also 100th video
What a beauty, I have this one among my favourites, a used one for around 70 euros, but I haven't bought it yet, I really like the alt builds of this set.
