do we need to turn the gas cylinders on during the test? Is it an "online" comparison of air breathed out by the participant and the gas cylinder air mixture?
I'm sorry, what protocol makes the patient _lie_down_ right after the 85% load without any cooldown? Like 3-5 min? Aren't you supposed to take BP during the cooldown?
I believe, it depends on why you are doing the test. If you are doing a clinical test for diagnostic purposes, then you should not use your inhaler of course after approval from a physician. but if you are doing the test for functional purposes and that is to start an exercise program, then you should use the inhaler in order for the result to be consistent with the expected response during an exercise program. remember, the Vo2 max will be used by the trainer to tailor an exercise program for you and they should know and take into account that a client is using a certain medication.
