Southgate sits with a pen in his hand. And a notebook which he never ever writes in, he reminds me of me when I was at school. Man can't do the work, so he has to pretend he is doing it. People forget that he has a team of individuals who work with him. Like Floyd Jimmy Hasselbaink. In the movie (Good Fellas), Jimmy makes all the decisions on what moves to make next. 🤔 😅 Lol, but he will never get the credit. Saka is one of England's best players in the Premier League and for his country. But he is also black so you have a group of racist that won't leave him alone. It's not every England fan most true supporters like yourself, love and appreciate this man. But you will always get these dum racist fans that wish Folden performance was better than Saka. Just because he is white, I know (crazy) right. These dum individual fans think it makes the country look better. It's a nasty mindset these people have. But I'm sad to say it exists. Not just in football but in main society on a whole. Thank you for highlighting some real facts like get off Saka back and start giving him the respect he has earned. I rate Phill Folden highly but that is for his club. This is the second world stage competition he has been strongly involved in, and still, he doesn't shine for England. So you are right to say drop him for Gorden. Southgate only plays Folden so much because he is a huge name, so there is an agenda taking place there. And it's to keep their boys in the spotlight no matter what. For shirts, sales will go down if he isn't in the team, same with Kane. No matter how they play, the manager isn't allowed to drop them for a whole game these kinds of players have to start. And for one minute, I don't blame the players for this because they are just pawns in a massive game of chess. Until it's starts becoming about football and nothing else. England will always struggle if you put money in front of people talent and wellbeing. That doesn't create a harmonious group. It just creates chaos and confusion. Players pretending to be happy, players pretending to like each other. Players who can't put club rivalry aside. England is the most disjointed team in the competition. But like you said, individuals brilliant saves the day. Gareth is crap them players play for themselves. He just tells them to go out and play with his fingers crossed. Hi Alice, nice post. Saka, agree. Forden, agree. Gordon? Mind-boggling. Should get a start. Palmer? One of those players that sees a game in 'Slo-mo', whilst playing his own game at full speed. Deserves more minutes. Southgate? Presiding over a 'Dream-team'. Though scared at the thought of defeat, should be buoyed by the prospect of victory. If we go out, go out with a Bang, not a whimper. Saka has been good all tournament. No overlap support from Walker, no support from Kane. Bellingham and Foden fighting for the ball on the left. All Saka needs is a run or two to pull a second defender off a yard or two…like Rice did
Saka created three dangerous cutting passes from nothing while double covered. Kane was just nowhere every single time. When Walker actually overlaps with Saka, it creates chances almost every time. If Walker is not given license to roam forward, Trent should pair up with him on the right. I agree with Alice. Honestly Foden was decent this last game and found half spaces to receive ball in the middle of the pitch a number of times. He is not getting support when he is wide. As a Liverpool fan, I would be happy to trash Phil if he plays poorly, but I really see the problem is not him at all. I am going to defend the lad here -- his support wide left has been worse than Saka's. Southgate has been misplaying Foden every single game IMO. Probably the easiest solution is to play someone more suited to Southgate's system.
Must have commented 100 times to play Gordon on the left. Southgate is an absolute melt. Drop Kane play Gordon on left with Bellingham and Palmer/Foden or Watkins through the middle
Well said your right about southgate he's got to go kane his shit one goal and your right about Foden he was shit when southgate changed the players it looked like a new team was on the pitch he's got to drop kane he's passed it
For me, the worrying thing about Kane's performance is how he is reading Saka's cutting passes so very poorly. Saka is creating chances from nothing, and there is nobody there to take the chance (and I am not giving Harry any credit for putting one high into the stands, no).
I still say southgate his no good as a manager we got su of the best players in the world so southgate should be sacked after the euros Spain will win it they are playing the best football in the euros
Exactly! Well said. A tactic to fit Foden who has been England worst player attackingly. And put Saka, who is England's best threat, to do both attacking and defensive job. Madneess managerial decision.
how is FODEN getting away with it ? not even getting subbed unless its extra time. we've been carrying him for 5 games. Just a FK & Corner merchant, and he's not even done that well either. He offers nothing going forward. He's a passenger. KANE been sh^te too. These players keep getting picked and not subbed on past/club reputations? TONEY should've refused to come on. This manager taking the p1ss. The other strikers on the bench like Watkins should also refuse to come on. He's shunned them. This manager only made a sub when we were heading out. Eze & Palmer brought some pace energy to the England side.
The game was crying out for some creativity. Saka was the only one really worrying Switzerland, so much so they doubled up on him. Kane ploughing a lone furrow was anonymous and carried no threat at all. Embolo was a menace with his back to goal and was everything Kane wasn’t. I assume Trent and Toney were only on for pens coz tactically they were not allowed to do anything in the brief time they were on.
Saka & Mainoo were our best players, Bellingham played better, Rice still didn't play well other than one good shot, Kane & Foden needs to be dropped for the next match neither did anything at all, Switzerland were rather dissapointing, they sat back there goal was crap another mistake by us, we won and now we have Holland should be interesting, Whether we win the Euro's Southgate still needs to go, great Penalty Shootout glad we finally one a Shootout for once.
Spot on Alice, bad tactics and in game management again, the formation is better but I’d love to see Watkins and Gordon play, also Trent, fed up of seeing Foden on dead balls he’s rubbish, we’ve absolutely fluked our way into the semis, let’s hope the luck continues because it won’t be down to our coach

Also read that Depending on the sale of Pedro Neto, Wolves could land the Sunderland attacking midfielder/winger Jack Clarke. He scored 14 goals and got 4 assists for the Black Cats last season. Spurs will also receive a decent amount of money as they inserted a release clause. We could be looking at a future Jarrod Bowen. He's 23 years of age.
