i tried this with my pup and now she loves crate for her food that's thrown in crate. food kept in a bowl o rkong even doesn't tempt her. only the game of giving food by hand. what to do in that case?
Just a reminder, be careful that the long leash can't catch on anything. You did, of course, with a smooth tree. Thanks for a great exercise! I have a high-drive one-year-old rescue.
100% i was working on being more self-aware before getting my pups but i feel like I’ve moved onto the boss level now that i have them. I’m the problem 99% of the time but at least i can fix myself 😅
Are there photos or names of those completely safe chew toys she was talking about? I give my 15 week-old a goat horn, but not when I'm not available. I have a puppy kong i use in the travel crate but he has not yet gotten anything out of it. Gumby has held up, he's a velor material. Would like more ideas please.
Hey everyone! 🌱 I'm a BIG supporter of animal welfare! Just curious, what do you think of cultivated meat for your pets? It's meat made the right way - no animals get slaughtered in the process! For pets, there's currently: Noochies 🐶
The dog I adopted was the opposite. Would go in the cage and bark to no end. The prior owners kept her in one more than 12 hrs a day😮 while at work. I just did away with the cage let her have free reign of the house/yard no barking and can't stay out of my lap😂.
you can invest time in the beginning and wind up with a well-trained dog. Or you can let the dog raise itself and have a hard time the rest of its life....
Thankyou for your videos you do not know how they help those who are all over the world who do not have a chance oe access to attend actual classes THANYOU SO MUCH ❤
My 4 months Golden retriever are out of control with biting and nipping and I don’t know what to do 😫 I give small ice cubes and cold carrots 🥕 for help him with the teething. Good luck everyone 🫶🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Good ideas...however these games are reasonably quickly done...so if a dog has to rehabilitate and spend more time in a crate... this is not going to cut it...there needs to be something that will keep the dog busy for an hour or so (which up until now only chewing food like a pigs ear has done).
My puppy is 9 weeks old trying to stop her biting and sleeping also I can’t get her to go toilet outside she uses dog pad and has used them well. But I can’t get her to go outside I’ve taken one of her used pads but no joy I’m hoping I can do what you’re teaching. Thanks 😊
My puppy has an issue with treating beds like big toys, and when he gets bored will start to rage on them, just going crazy biting and tugging on them and dragging them around the floor. Is there a way to discourage this besides just taking the bed away?
I love yours posts and often repost them to my Yorkie page on FB. I have stopped sharing on my page because of the popups. I liked it when you mentioned that you had the tools in your shop. With the info below. I want to get back to sharing your posts with my puppy parents.
My yorkie thinks all beds are just big toys to move and shred. I’ve tried so many times.. I put them away take out again . He is now 1 and half and it’s the same thing. And he is crated and not spoiled. I have always treated him like a big dog as far as training goes. He does not have any stuffed toys as they are shredded in 10 min or less. Even Kong toys with material over them. All his toys are safer rubber.
Thank you. We keep trying. Building handler consistency and handler joy and handler cue giving knowledge is taking time. Trust is hard. Eps is smart. Magic bullets not existing and wheels falling off for other people is helpful to know. Thank you for the needed reminder.
I have a question, I have a 10 week puppy that is eating super super fast seems to be a little aggressive with the food protecting her food. What do you suggest I can do to slow her down to eat like a normal dog?

We got a dog from fb, I get all my animals there to save them, I loved stella so much. But she was so filled with anxiety that she destroyed things, she would run out the dog and chased the mailman and a woman. She was great with my son and my cats, I loved her so much. But she needed a more knowledgeable person to help her. I bought a dog this time. I had Stella for 8 months training her as best as we could. I pray for her everyday. I'm sorry Stella.
I love your videos! I have been watching them for the last year! I have a new 8 wk old puppy. I’m working on crate training. How long should I expect him to stay in the crate? How do I know when to take him out? He will be quiet and sleep for a short time and then wake up and fuss and I’ll take him out and he just wants to go right back to sleep outside of the crate! When and how should I take him out of the crate? Thank you so much!!
