IMPORTANT: The 3D cursor should be located where you want the ivy to grow from. If you're ivy looks weird or too small and isn't reacting to any modifications, this is why.
when i make a rigid body on a model from blenderkit to fall on the grounds it shakes and do random movement and falls under the ground. unlike the built-in mesh like cube or cylinder. please help me solve this problem. thanks in advance!
Can't get blenderkit to work for some reason. I either have an issue where I followed the instructions (from the blenderkit website not a 3rd party site) and it either says the daemon isn't installed, or I get some kind of callback python error. I haven't done anything except install the addon and try to enable it in preferences.

I still don't understand what this addon does. Is it like a modifier so if I apply it to my mesh it shrink-wraps the topology more accurately to the high-poly mesh? Or does it only work if I have subdivisions on? What if I don't want to subdivide my low poly mesh and I just want to keep it as is but have much better shrink-wrapping to my high-poly mesh based on your algorithm?
Just wanted to say that as a potential customer I'm put off from the comments saying there is no more tutorials and that the artist version is very limited and doesn't even support mirror.

why cant you just..send the textures to us? instead of all of the download addon trouble, you couldve just sent the textures to us. absolutely frustrating
saying that default version is good for regular character retopo is an understatement of non insignificant proportions. you are practically forced to buy the cad version cus you cant retopo with mirror modifier on due to addon always changing X of the vetrex so drastically, putting it on high merge stops being an option cus it merges everything else. and it doesn't matter what count of loops you are working on be it 6-8-10 or even 12 it will still act weird. working without mirror? that outweights any advantages it gives compared to other methods/addons/softwares.
Is there a way to download and use blenderkit assets like materials without the add-on? So some way to download the various maps for a material directly and apply them manually? I really don't want to install and maintain multiple asset management add-ons from various different 3rd party vendors.
Hi, thank you for your question. We understand that it can be annoying to have multiple add-ons and jump between them while working with Blender, but unfortunately it is not possible to download assets without installing the BlenderKit add-on in Blender.
@@blenderkit If I installed Blenderkit and used it for a project, and then decided to uninstall it, would the Blenderkit materials used for that project than be broken if I reloaded it?

2:53 what are some potential reasons for the brush being too weak here? the brush is loaded in properly and works, but doesnt match volume/height wise. if it were a bump map id describe it as having 10% of the height.
@BlenderKit It appears to be a glitch in the video/audio at 6:09 explaining Neighbor Levels. I think I understood your explanation, but it would have been great to see how it works in action (when increasing the Neighbor Levels). You mentioned something about being careful that I didn't catch because of the audio. I'd also like to know more about Scene snapping. How does that work? Does it only mean mesh objects, or all types of objects in the scene? And how does it handle visibility states; does it automatically detect changes to visible/hidden for the Scene snapping? (I.e. no manual "update" like for example having to uncheck and re-check Scene snapping checkbox or something like that.)
Hi ;) Neigbor levels - how far the vertices get influenced, it's similar to 'select more' - moves unselected vertices by topology distance, not distance distance. Scene snapping - should snap to all visible objects, by now ignores anything hidden. This is due to how internally blender's raytracing works in Python, but also seemed most in line with how other snapping options in Blender work.

thanks for the great add-on and the tutorial ! love blenderkit however when i am using the ivygen and the particle system for the leaves, my leaves appear very small and not as the size i need them, is there a way to change their size?
@@blenderkit oh sorry, I forgot I said this. Turns out, the textures were loading, but since I had so many faces on my model, and the texture had a pattern, it got all jumbled up and looked laggy. It's all fixed now
