Want to improve your art skills? Want to learn how to draw & color comics? You're in the right place! My channel features lots of art tutorials that can be applied to both making comic books as well as digital painting! I also do live streams and discussion videos where you can get your own questions answered! I firmly believe that art does not have a finish line, and there's always a new goal waiting for us once we achieve one, so let's grow together!
I like the plot arc. Nice. 1. Inciting Incidence 2. Complication 3. Crisis 4. Climax 5. Resolution This is the simplest plot arc ever. I like the simplicity. Each plot point will consist of scenes. Then it's time to sketch out the scenes with thought bubbles. Inking. Flatting. Rendering. Lettering. Publishing.
I understand ordering the first 25 books and storing it into the warehouse so that you know people who order could have it fulfilled from the warehouse and they will ship it I get that that's cool however my question is From there when a person order do they just print it out like print on demand if one person buy something will they just ship off or print off one comic and ship it out to them p or do you have to constantly restock it not understanding why would you have to constantly buy 25 copies after 25 copies at the 25 copies and then they still want to take commission off of what shows off the site I don't understand I'm not really feeling that so I want to make sure I have an understanding they take a commission fee you pay monthly and you got to buy the 25 copies or more at a time in order for them to even store it and my understanding that right that doesn't even sound good to me?
This is an extremely helpful tutorial. I've struggled with facial proportions and this helps so much, especially for a 3/4th view. It's hard finding specific angle references so I find learning this will help me draw without a need of those types of angle references. Thank you!
big thanks for showing how this method works, I drew my first one too small, I am going to redraw the the reilly method using the whole sheet of paper, once everything is drawn, the face emerges. pretty cool... thanks again, whats the brand of you drawing tablet?
I took a long break from art and almost forgot how to draw faces. I was searching for tutorials, specifically the one that helped me to learn the basics of portrait drawing. All I could remember was a method that was mentioned but I forgot that too! And finally after searching for some time, I've found this! Yes, I was searching for this tutorial exactly. This tutorial is absolutely helpful and well explained ♥️ Thanks for sharing ♥️
Most helpful! I am jumping back in from a long hiatus so for a forward facing portrait it’s very useful. I will look for any videos you may have on side and angle views. Thanks loads!
For over a year now I struggled on the Loomis and Reilly method only to give up on both of them. Your videos have finally enabled me to understand the Reilly method and use it successfully. Thank you so much for sharing and describing it in a way that it can be understood. From now on I will always use the Reilly method.
I spent two days on loomis and admittedly it probably helped wireframe but after two minutes following this along I had a well drawn and shaded face. Excellent share thank you. Onto 3/4 view.😊😅
Hey Galen, quick question. I'll be self-publishing my first comic book but I wanted to ask your opinion on how much I should sell my comic book for. I want to keep it under $6.00 USD but more than $2.00 USD
Expertly done my friend. No gimmicks, fluff, silly talking, or show boating. So many artists on RU-vid love to hear themselves talk about themselves... By the time any tutorial has started, things become confusing and off topic. Your tutorial is one of the first and only I found that truly teaches point A to point B, and so on...without falling off topic. Thank you
2024... I have begun to use it to understand the art of Ink Wash Painting - which I am to replicate on digital art. Perhaps the beauty is that water is truly a calm wave that washes away everything you once worry.
Instant fan bro! Very well explained, I finally understand wtf Clipping Layers are for and the benefits of using them haha... liked, subscribed n look forward to watching more of your awesome tutorials!🤘
Advice for future informative videos: Don't give important advice to your viewers while producing distractingly beautiful art in the background. Had to rewatch/listen with another browser open so I could actually pay attention. Lol. You are talanted sir. Thank you.
