The sound that the small Radius 90 puts out is impressive. I am especially attracted by the sweet and extended reproduction of the high frequencies. I would be interested to know which speaker cable you used, it looks like a basic standard cable but I would like to know if it is silver plated and the section in square millimeters?
I just bought a pair and I’m using them with a nice NAD system(receiver, cassette deck, cd)I’m using Micca pure copper cables because audiophiles tested them against $10k cables and they held their own. These little speakers are the clearest I’ve ever heard, regardless of size. I’m adding a Radius 360 sub for a little extra tight bass. I am not a bass head.
@@professorvoluck9311 I agree, they are extremely clear at all frequencies. I've had them for about a year now powered by a Denon PMA-60/DCD-50 all digital system. Also SmartTV and BD Panasonic via optical, all sources sound great, using Van Den Hul The Clearwater speaker wire. The video shows the previous version that had 87dB of sensitivity, mine are the latest version, with improved drivers derived from the high ranges of Monitor Audio but now only 83dB. My Denon PMA-60 delivers 25W per channel, I have enough for my 9m2 bedroom, I don't want to disturb my neighbors either, but I'm not sure if I'm getting the most out of the Radius 90. How powerful is your NAD system?
I have twice the power you have but I don’t listen to music blaring loud. I have neighbors also. I am considering upgrading to the Monitor Audio Silver 50. They are able to produce lower frequencies than the Radius 90 and they’re slightly bigger.
@@professorvoluck9311 Those Monitor Audio Silver 50 have a very nice aesthetic, I bet their sound must be sublime too, unfortunately they wouldn't fit in my small bedroom. So I'll keep the Monitor Audio Radius 90 and try to upgrade to the Marantz PM6007 amp.
I like better the RS8 towers . Well I've got a pair of Monitor Audio Silver RS1 bookshelf speakers and they sound amazing . I guess RS Silver series is one of the best series from Monitor Audio so far .
This speaker definitely doesn't lack bass as I own one. You can't properly judge a speaker recorded with a microphone playing back on a different speaker.
I have the D10s but even in person it is well nigh impossible to tell well functioning DACs apart in subjective listening tests. So judging through a RU-vid audio is when harder. Which did you like?
Ah. Now I have a D10s and a UCA202. Which should I use to listen to this RU-vid video? My mission - should I accept it - is to compare the video of tchappy's UCA202 though my UCA202 versus my D10s; then the video of the D10s thought my UCA202 versus my D10s. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The RS8s are smoother and probably less fatiguing. I have the Radius 90s and am putting together a small in my office with them. My challenge will be matching a sub and an amp to get the most out of them.
they don't produce these cutes anymore.........pittyy....... (they have other Ss not so good looking uuuuuf!....) as far as I remember they were among the first speakers with aluminium woofers.......
This must be the equivalent of a Volkswagen Beetle pulling up next to a Porsche 911 turbo and then proceeding to blow the doors off the Porsche. I'm flabbergasted. I have the Monitor Audio RS6 silvers so maybe I shouldn't be so surprised.
I am happy with my UCA202 but that topping d10s sounds so open and clean I need to get one. What is your take? How big is the difference in person. I am curious to see a PC → Topping D10s → cheap Chinese amp → Monitor Audio Radius 90 setup.
Hello! Can you please tell me the dimensions of the box and the lenght and diameter of the port?I have the yamaha speaker and i want to build a box for it. Thank you !!!
Not optional. They are Stageek Aluminum Desktop Speaker Stands. Please search on Amazon.com and read reviews. By the way, Stageek Aluminum Desktop Speaker Stands bend a little.
I got a pair for 50 bucks. Paired with a sub, they are crazy good. Only using a pioneer sx650 too. They are strictly for music. 100 or under, buy them. Bronze 2s are my next buy
