Thanks for the video Crafty, I love the R22 as well and I keep coming back to it because it is a great representation of the true experience. What it lacks in raw power and speed it makes up for in the sheer enjoyment and I keep coming back for more ... any spare moment, any 'free styling' time, and when checking out some new scenery I scroll through my hangar and invariably end up selecting the R22. I also find that after a hour or so in the R22 and I hop in one of the other Cowansim choppers (H125 / M500E) they seem a bit more forgiving and easy to keep steady / hover. This is probably because I have my eye in flying the R22, where my immediate muscle memory is around small movements.
@@Rikus1978 version 2.0.4 is a very very good version of the 310R. The aircraft already was a good aircraft with lots of detail and a great sound pack. Id say its as good as the Cessna 414 but the Piston Duke would probably be a better aircraft. But all three are amazing aircraft in my eyes.
I was looking for a good thorough run-up vid, but it doesn't help when you're saying things like "Oil temp off... dunno what that means" ;) Did you ever get that one figured out? In any case, thanks for the vid.
the fuel temp off section was from the start guide I was using for a real DA42. I dare say a real trained pilot would be able to translate the "off" part but I was not able to
Another good review, 👍🏽given! I understand that the developer wants to render the interior as accurately as possible but I wouldn't complain at all if they decided to downsize/scale-down that massive "A" pillar across your view.
Nice review, really enjoyed your off-script style. Sub'd and liked. I downloaded this a day ago. Not a bad add-on to the sim. Sounds are not bad, (engine sounds could be improved) I'm not fond of how when in external view the pilot and copilot appeared grayed out when viewed from in front, but those are my only gripes which is awesome due to the fact that *IT IS FREE!*
Many thanks. I agree its a great aircraft and shows lots of promise. I think the sounds in my opinion are the only slight issue. But that been said they are still usable. And lets also not forget the price. Its a great little package of an aircraft. Great for GA fans.
Thats very odd. My G1000 works as it should with regards to the autopilot. I set the desired height then press FLC and nose up to about 400ft a min increase. It then goes to my desired altitude.
In the real aircraft wiew is not that bad as all simmer say. Expecially when you fly a circuit in a busy airport the side upperside wiew is very good. Much better then a Cirrus SR22 not to mention a Piper that is really claustrophobic (glider pilot here! 😉). A plus for me are also nice real life livery and the good price. Much better than many other addons in this price class.
I have to agree that the FR Spit is a better aircraft. 👍 D-Day stripes are the black and white stripes that were painted on all allied aircraft for June 6th and going forward
A good presentation of an iconic aircraft that I want badly. But I need it to be available on the Market Place ? I have trouble downloading from other sources. Do we know when the Hurricane will be available from the MSFS Market Place ?
Thank you for the kind words. As regards to marketplace availability, it wasn't as of me making this video, however I believe it will be. It just takes a bit of time to be made available on the marketplace.
Thanks for sharing, and thank you for the support! We do aim for true authenticity - while not perfect, we really enjoyed bringing the Rolls-Royce "Merlin" to the AH Hurricane and their future Spitfire variants. The interior sounds will get a small "buff" and slightly change the hum/roar so you can "feel" the engine even more than before. Do check out the first update once it drops. :) Also; we did do sounds on the CH-47 by Miltech, F-86 Sabre by Shrike, and many more!
A really good presentation, I like the PA 38 and fly in VR. Still having teething problems with system crashes, using a Quest 3. Bu getting there. I am squirt happy with MSFS as it is, so not bothered 're MSFS 2024.
Thanks for the kind words. The PA-38 is a great little aircraft. Im interested in what the new sim will bring for sure. We shall see if its any better.
Still one of my favourites. But lately I've become fascinated by one of the Devs other planes - the Beaver. Just like the 310R you can see the love they've put into it. Thanks for the video.
Really enjoyed that flight. The Oxford addon is great! The strange Dornier thingy isn't for me. I do wish they'd give us proper old birds like The Vickers Viscount, DH Dove and Heron, VC10, need i go on? Cheers! ;)
Beautiful aircraft. Sounds for me are so important. I used to be a sound dev back in the day and always took pride in my work. Managed to get my sounds into a few payware aircraft. Cheers! ;)
The 310R is my 2nd favorite plane in the Sim. I prefer it over the 414A. But at the moment, I too am enjoying the DA-42 and will fly her for awhile longer before switching back. That was a very smooth landing for this plane.
I'm still flying the DA-42 as I watched this on a very long trip. I also own the 310R and it is my 2nd favorite plane. I was flying it up until the DA-42 got released as I was anxiously waiting for it to come out for about 9 months. Another fine flight - Thank you again.
Great job. I'm flying it right now as I'm watching you out the other monitor. She is a beautiful bird to behold. I'm anxious to see what you have planned up ahead for her. Thank you for showcasing this plane.
Hi Crafty, I'm still waiting for my new comp. I will be buying the DA42 as soon as i can. great vid again. that landing was as I call a soft sock landing. Thanks for the link for procedures. Looking forward to your next vid. 🤠
Yeah that was a floater of a landing. Sometimes she does that, other times she just sits down on the main gear just nicely and a few times she hits so hard your spine would of gone through your skull 😆 🤣 😂 Thanks once again for the kind words
It would be cool if you could turn the visual wear and tear on or off, on a tablet inside the DA42. Or having a "visual wear and tear"-axis, so you could put it on 30%, for example. Or even better, having a slider for allround dirt, a slider for oil stains, a slider for fingerprints and bugs on the canopy, and one for exhaust fumes greyness, etc... ;-)
That would definitely be cool as a future update. I do hope they add a tablet in a future update, especially as there is one sat folded away by your left leg in the cockpit
@@CraftySimulationsI'm not sure if your in their Discord server or not but they have mentioned that they do plan to bring the tablet "alive" in the future
@@Vitasvia yes I heard a few weeks ago about the chance of the tablet being included in a future update. I only found out about their Discord page last week lol. Definitely some good information on there
I've always loved the PA28's. It's nice to sit over my local airfield on a summers day and watch them in and out. Just Flight models are gorgeous! Cheers ;)
I flew this plane yesterday for the first time in months. It's a great plane indeed. I don't have the 750 so I use the 530. My route was VOR hopping from Walla Walla to Great Falls. After the Missoula VOR I loaded the ILS 03 approach into Great Falls thinking I could use GPS to navigate to the IAF, but for some reason the HSI would not work. I couldn't get rid of the horizontal flag and the CDI would not track the course. I tried switching back and forth from VLOC to GPS several times and I tried loading and activating the approach several times, but the HSI's CDI would not come alive. Any idea what could cause this? It seems to be a bug when switching from radio navigation to GPS navigation, but I don't recall ever experiencing it before. Maybe something brought on by the recent updates to the C414 or maybe the Working Title updates?
Hi, I will have a look into that issue. Most of my time is spent using the GTN750 system but when im next off work I will try and replicate your setup and see what I get.
@@CraftySimulations Thank for looking into it. I did a few more mixed radio/gps routes since, and have not been able to reproduce it. A flight from Inverness to East Midlands and another from Nagasaki to Okinawa went without a hitch. I must have did something wrong but I can't think what it could be. I may try reflying the Walla Walla to Great Falls route sometime to confirm my suspicion.
OMG ! don't mention the flaps LOL. that was a rollercoaster ride, what, no trim wheel ? 850 ft. to 1,500 then up to 2000, then back down to 8 something for landing. I almost threw up watching this one ! Regards from Pete, Looking forward to next vid.🤠
