Of course saving some costs on labor is also a great thing! I am an ASE certified mechanic, so I love doing vehicle how to's, and that is how the channel got started. Now that I'm getting deeper into RU-vid I wanted to branch out into more do it yourself projects to help with anything you could do around your house. Anywhere from 5 to 8 a sq ft depending on how many lights you have to cut around and your area. I think this one was about 150 sq ft and we charged $800 plus materials
I can't believe that this is the exact vanity that I am having someone install and the same plumbing set up. I was concerned that the person installing the vanity would have to cut into my wall, which my husband just finished putting up new drywall and shiplap paneling at the bottom. Watching this installation really helped me to visualize what needed to be done for the install and calmed my anxiety. Thank you so much!😀
why do you need to sand down if youre painting the same color? I have stain on my deck floors and i was told i can just paint over it. I'm a single mom i dont have time to do too much or money to have someone else do it
Generally sanding just gives you a smoother finish and helps remove any loose paint before you paint over it. Stain is a lot different than paint because it doesn't peel and chip. Paint sits on the surface while stain penetrates it. That's why a clean and restain works while paint requires the extra prep.
I have a 2021 Z530M the deck adjustment at the pedal is different from yours it has a magnetic pin. The mower came with a plastic adjustment gauge using the pin you set the deck at 2.5” , there is a raised bump on both sides of the rear of the deck using the same adjustment points you did adjust the rear than go to the front and adjust the front at the small support. After making the adjustments the deck adjustment at the pedal was binding so I had to lower both sides just enough to so the adjustment at the pedal was no longer binding. I drove my mower for 3 years just assuming the deck was right it was 1/2-3/4 “ too low.
I just changed my grips from some thick foam grips to more of a standard thickness gel grips, needless to say it felt so weird. Little changes like that can throw you off if you a beginner like me
Yeah that's where you spot weld it back together! The new panel will be solid and I held it in place with self tappers until we got the spots back together
I'm off by over and inch front to back (back is higher) and I've maxed out the adjustment threads to raise the front. At 8:44, It sounded like you had similar issue, but didn't mention how you overcame it. I have the gator mulching blades, not sure if that's the reason or not.
I do think the gators are a hair lower than the stock ones but it annoys me when the numbers aren't the actual height of cut. I just went as high as I could and adjusted the back down to get that 1/8-1/4 inch drop on the front.
I think it is a fine product but a lot of people online expect it to perform magic. Instructions say you can put down two applications two months apart. My neighbor with one of the worst lawns I've ever seen did two applications of this, plus an application of Andersons Dimension post-emergent with nitrogen, all 6 weeks apart. Even at the maximum application rate, after four months the results are good but not perfect and still needs to spot-spray the worst weeds. He will have to repeat all next year -- three applications of two products, and spot spraying, before he can dial it back to maybe two applications a year but that is absolute minimum for any weed/feed product. Hope this helps.
You're absolutely right. I've taken over maintenance on a few yards where other companies use granular weed control and promise unrealistic results. Liquid is always the best option
@@BakersDIYLifestyle IMO liquid is good for odd shaped lawns or where you need to accurately put down product. Granular IMO is more convenient for square lawns and/or large lawns. I have done both. No one size fits all. Good luck and thnx for replying!
I wear safety glasses when working around batteries. I had a motorcycle battery blow up on me once. Had to jump in the shower and quickly rinse my eyes.
You can. You need to scuff the chrome with 400-600 grit sand paper. Make sure it's completely dull. Then hit it with 2 coats of primer. Sand again with 600 after drying. Then spray 2-3 coats of your color basecoat. Let dry the recommended time before clearing based on the brand color you used. Then spray 2 or 3 coats of clear. If you really want it to last, use a 2k clear. Spraymax makes a really good 2k clear rattle can. If you don't use the entire can, it will go to waste once activated. Car-Rep makes a 2k clear aerosol that will never go to waste! I've cleared headlights, spot touch ups, tail lights, fuel tanks, and you name it with the 2k clear from an aerosol can. It works incredible, leaves a high gloss finish and is just as durable as your factory clear coat!
@hoagiemoto thanks so much for take your time to reply my friend...and I will go do that way I replacing my fron grill to color mach my is black I order the grill from ebay calor paint already I hop work out good ......have a great day thanks you again.
I am preparing to do my downstairs ceiling with Home Depot's best seller which is 1/4 in. x 3.5 in. x 8 ft. Cedar Board V-Plank. My question is should I apply a Polyurethane clear finish to the planks before installation are apply at all?
Helpful video, thanks! I'll be putting these ProGrip 719s on my Ninja 1000 soon. I'm hoping I don't have to cut/shorten the throttle side as some guys have done here on YT. Also, are you convinced going with the alcohol versus an adhesive (like hairspray) is the way to go? Appreciate your advice...
You are so lucky that just fell out lol. I had to take mine to a shop to have them pressed out. I had to take the whole knuckle for both sides too. Never seen stuff rusted that bad. Great video!
@@BakersDIYLifestyle I will lol. Do you know what the tool is? That would maybe be able to take this out? I know they have a polar for, but it probably would’ve broke anyways.
Hi, great looking ceiling! Would appreciate a bit of advice. We’ve bought an old house with old polystyrene ceiling tiles in every room and they’re a fire hazard. Tried taking them off but it’s a nightmare, tried a glue gun etc and still brutal. Could we cover over the tiles with this kind of planking? How would we make it fire safe? Can’t see the joists either so could we use adhesive? Any advice welcome - we can’t afford to get the pros like yourselves in! Cheers for any help :)
Hey I know the feeling! We bought a 1927 farm house and are going through the ringer to update it. As far as the fire protection I would think the addition of planks would act as a small barrier before anything would get to the tiles. You could probably find some sort of fire rated plank as well. Try a magnet across the ceiling to find the nail holes for studs. Worst case is you just use glue, which I would recommend anyway, and fire your nails close and on an angle. Imagine making an x with the cross point in the ceiling. Hope that helps and good luck!
@@BakersDIYLifestyle Thanks so much for replying so quickly! Cheers for thé advice, we’ll see what we can find and get sorted… Makes you wonder how many tons of that stuff they sold way back when…and people thought it was so fun and modern and clean and stylish… Amazing how times and tastes change!
this is good information but your situation is probably very different from most. Most people have plumbing behind the wall not the way you have yours. you have several options.
You can do the same exact thing with it in the wall. The benefit it that there is probably also a vent in a wall so you can just hook up the p traps and go
You just have to cross reference the blades to find the correct size. The ones for the z540r don't actually say they are for the mower. I had to look up dimensions before I bought mine
I've cleaned the carb on my similar ATV, a Suzuki Eiger. When I give it gas it goes no problem but as soon as I let go of the throttle it will not idle, even for a second. The tank only has a little fuel in it (fresh). If I put the dial of the petcock on "Pri"/primany fuel is released and that's how I emptied the old fuel. Was yours not doing that? Trying to decide if this petcock problem is my issue or not? Thank you in advance.
Great video man, I really enjoyed it. I just went out there for my first time last weekend. Are you guys going to be out there again anytime soon? I’d love to ride with you guys sometime. I’m on a 2019 Kawasaki KX 450.
I need to get back out! My brother in law has the kx250 and I'm trying so find another one for me. I should have never sold mine because the prices now are just stupid for a used bike
