Bro I think you should making a video how to setup the butterfly and TPS sensor for those who delete the IACV and went for standalone ecu for JZ engine. You know 1 or 2jz gte engine, when the iacv been deleted the car not longer will start smoothly due to 0 vacuum pressure.I think you should making a video how to dial and crack the butterfly open and setup the TPS before re calibrate on ecu. Nobody making that tutorial video on YT for JZ engine. Well just my suggestion due to JZ engine seems become so popular for drifter community
I would like to know more about reliability and cooling mods that you use for drift car I am keen to know about this to improve my own cars reliability!
Great video, what is the best rings gap gor ring 1 and ring 2 in 2jz gte standard internals i going to use oem gte piston and rods with new gte piston rings on ge vvti block and i am little confused about rings gap becouse every buddy used fiferent gap
I got a good question for you, I got a ge vvti and the adapter for a gte upper intake, can I use a non vvti upper on my vvti if I’m using a aftermarket ecu, I’m going with emu black, I already have the non vvti gte upper and throttle body
Sorry I didn't try it, but it should be interchangeable. Except for VVT-i and non vvti. And also some cylinder head has 2 cam sensor input, some has 1 only, so have to check on that too
hi, great vidio .. i am trying to see if there is a differance in the coolant outlet ports on front on exhaust sides of heads .. is hole and bolts spacing the same or differant ?
Sorry not distributor. I'm using the crank sensor and cam sensor pair. Sorry I don't know there is a difference. I believe both types of cam sensors are the same. Only 12 teeth at crank gear vs 1 gear at cam. Or 36minus2 at crank gear vs 3 gears at cam. If that make sense
Beware, this vlog contains tear and blood and sweat. The journey is perilous and yet rewarding in terms of great friendship. Thanks for your support! =D see you in the next video!
Hi Michael, do you thing that the GE oil pump can handle enough oil pressure in a block with oils jets squirts + single turbo and oil cooler? Thank you
@Michael Chung Racing -Cars Explained I still have a weird problem the car is sputtering and hesitating when going in boost between 3k to 4.5k I try potting the maf on the charg side of the car and starts up but didn't like when you rev it and stall after. So I was thinking on trying out the maf of a 1j but it's nog pug and play .
Hope this video explains it all, is it 2jz really interference engine? What is interference engine and does this apply to your engine? Be careful guys!
These are 2JZ-GTE engines with the stock rotating assembly, neither block nor head decked at all, correct? The 2JZ-GE VVT-i is an interference engine, due to the different pistons, thinner head gasket, and possibly head design, correct?
Great content .really need some help my 2jzgte vvti is leaning out .I installed new aem fuel pomp 340lph aeromotive fuel pressure regulator 40 psi at real .o2 sensor, maf sensor, map sensor ar al checked injectors are al cleaned I als inspected the ecu and it seems ok no capacitor are swollen or damage spark plugs and coil are also replaced don't know what causes it to lean out car is factory gte aristo don't know what to look for next .I would appreciate any help
Hi hmm, not easy when i cannot see the car. But do you have install a fuel pressure gauge inside the dashboard? That's how you can see when it leans out. For eg, when idling the fuel pressure is ok, but when the boost is coming in, but the fuel pressure is dropping, then it is either fuel pump problem or fuel hose connecting from pump to the pipe got problem. It is quite common . That's why the fuel pressure gauge inside the engine bay has not much use because we need to monitor when boost is kicking in
@Michael Chung Racing -Cars Explained I only have a aem wideband in the car and that's how a know the car us leaning out at 10psi I saw 16 afr .what your saying makes total sense I will look into the fuel feed line and recheck the fuel pump. Also the new spark plugs were all cleane after I took the car for drive that's another way I could tell my afr are lean. Thanks for the help 👍
Do you speak Japanese? If yes can you help me please? Will you write in Japanese in the reply to my comment how I ask someone if there 1jz vvti had Apexi Power Fc L-Jetro so the engine still had MAF/AFM, MAF sensor Air Flow Meter with Power Fc fitted then they added HKS Fcon Vro with air temperature sensor to not use MAF AFM anymore but kept Power Fc to control VVTI? If you could do that I'd really appreciate it as I'm trying to fix my JZX100 but the guy that's fixing his JZX100 the same as me cannot understand properly even when I use translate. Thanks
Google translate it is better than me . And if your local guys does not have it ,why not change to a standalone in English. It does not make sense to use ecu that cannot use English. There is no support for that
hi guys, hope you guys learn something from here and this video shows that the build was legit and the 2JZ is still really strong and reliable! =) here is the part 1 video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_lOmRVNAYzE.html
@@imagineer8059 hmm this one you have to ask and join local races then u will know what is the rough benchmark. But what is more important is the skills gain from practice
