WOMEN'S GEAR REVIEWS | Hiking | Clothing | Outdoors | Adventures | Exploration | Small Island Living |
After months of looking for actual field tested reviews on women's hiking gear suited for the extreme terrain and climate of Alaska and finding very little. I decided to start my own channel and provide women the reviews I've been long looking for! From backpacks to pants, comfy boots to what undies don't give you wedgies while hiking. I'm going to test gear in the extreme climates of Southeast Alaska and give you the nitty gritty of what works and what doesn't.
Thanks for watching! I hope you subscribe and stay tuned! Let's go on an adventure!
New content and all new culture!! Small island but excited to see where it will take us. Hoping for some new ways to explore Alaska on the ferry system and surrounding islands.
@@MarissaCollisonhave you moved on from this jacket? If so to what? How well did it hold up? Looking to do some cold weather/ winter hiking here in the White mountain region and really liked your review. This jacket seems to offer a lot at an affordable price.
Eat raw garlic cloves before going out. Always works for me. If you don't want to smell like garlic, try bug spray made with picaridin, which is a synthesized molecule mimicking piperine, a compound in black pepper. Best bug spray I've ever use, considering I refuse to use deet.
I’ll have to look into that. Have never heard of it! Can’t really eat the garlic due to my job. Might scare off my clients. 😬. Deet works but agree on that part.
As a word of advice - PACK IT UP AND GTFO THERE !!!!!!! They will gang up and make quick work out of your dog within seconds !!!! They don't care about you,,,, That K9 is what they won't tolerate being there
Wolves are timid. They will not come grab your dog with a person around and even then, there are farrrr more cases of coyotes, mountain lions and bears taking pets than wolves. Wolves will not expend energy to catch another canine with people around when there are easier prey items around.
@@MarissaCollison brilliant, I also train hard 6 mornings a week for the 3 weeks I am working then the forth week I sod off in my van hiking moorland, coastal paths and mountains, good active recovery and mind rest
@MarissaCollison I miss how close all the trails are in southeast ak, up here on the kenai peninsula, It's usually an hour drive to the good trails, but we have lots of sandy beaches!
