My name is Stacey and on this channel I will be showing you how I’m working towards being a better me, and you will see this through the eyes of my planners and notebooks.
I am a married mother of 3, two of which are now adults. This is a new season for me since I no longer have small children. I have made the decision to focus more on me and my goals.
Such beautiful layout, handwriting, and just ❤. One thought I had was that you should create a swatch page in the back of your book where you can put your alohastar marker colors and just use it to reference against your kit colors that month. Good work!
Oh wow, you're not alone! I'm very much the same in many ways! I was saying, "yep, yep, yep" throughout, 😊. I am very influenced visually and will not use something if it's over stimulating. I just LOVED your free form goal page that you wrote out! I'm going to adapt a similar strategy. One idea - maybe you could use some $ toward some decorative things to make your hand written journal more attractive and perhaps you'd use it more? Or if you do cave in 😉 I suggest buy the Power Sheets. I think you'd like it better than Makse.
😂 I did buy Powersheets over the weekend! I bought the pink petal neutral. It was supposed to be a secret 😂😂😂. Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate you.
I just discovered your channel and wanted to say I really love your videos! I relate a lot to your comments on how different planner details like the color have an impact on our experience of it. A lot of times, we set different things aside without really reflecting on what was the friction that resulted in it, and I love that you share your thought process. I’m excited to see what you end up going with for 2025. 😊
Beautiful! I ended up getting the full year N2H, so I ordered mulberry. But honestly, the tweed had me wavering 😍 it’s so beautiful! You got such pretty pencil boards
I love exactly what you chose. I would’ve chosen exact same thing exact same color but I’m trying to save money this year so I didn’t buy any but I can watch your channel and watch you enjoy them and I think you made the best choice ever.❤
Good morning, Stacey! You have already made me laugh! @20 seconds, when you said, “I did try to peek!” 😂 I just LOVE that tweed! But I’m like you, I thought the texture of the cover would be more like an actual tweed. But they are both gorgeous! The calendar cards are beyond!!! Thank you so much for sharing your unboxing with us…I was holding my breath!! LOL 😆☺️🩷 By the way, I also ordered the compact this year, too…in the B5 size in the vertical style, with the Forest Green cover! I can’t wait to start using it! Have a wonderful week, Stacey! Can’t wait till your next unboxing!! Meline
I’ve heard a lot of people saying that they ordered B5. I’m curious to see how you all use it. Oh and that green is pretty! It’s such an exciting time in the planner community
I’m using Sterling Ink’s B5 planner and I was just thinking about using her goal planning spread. So I’m going to try that as well. Look forward to seeing how your notebook work out for you.
I thought about using the A5 Sterling Ink for goals but I’m just not sure. I’ve seen a lot of people who ordered the B5 so I’m sure there will be a lot of inspiration coming soon.
I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your video! Your planners are beautiful AND functional, and I love your handwriting! It’s so refreshing to see someone that actually uses their planners to *plan* (as opposed to filling the space with so many stickers and washi, that there’s no room to write anything in them or plan anything). It’s a pet peeve of mine and it bugs me way more than it probably should since it’s really none of my business… 😂 Going to check your other videos now! 😊
Thank you! I really love my planners and I do like to decorate sometimes, but I need to see my plans. I’ll get too distracted with pretty stickers all over the page.
Hi, Stacey! I was excited to see that you are using the N1 planner in both the vertical and horizontal options…it seems like I seldom see the vertical, and I just ordered B5 size vertical compact size from Sterling Ink from their big release yesterday…so I’m glad to see how you will be using that! 😊 Thanks, Meline
Hey Meline! It’s so good to see you. That B5 is gorgeous! I hope you like it. I’m almost sure that I’ll be trying out an A5 horizontal next year to combine my journal and goal planner.
Thanks for sharing. I found it easier to remove the backing on the sticker sheets and that helps me see how well each sticker might fit in certain spaces on my spreads.
Thanks for sharing your process. I'm thinking of using a Common Planner N1 next year and it was super helpful to see how you use yours in terms of scheduling and chores. It was also nice to see how you update the planner throughout the week
Hey there, great video. I'm still trying to decide if I want a horizontal or vertical for 2025. I'm in a vertical now and love it. Thank you for sharing.
Hi, it is a Pilot B2P“Bottle to Pen”, 0.7 black ink. Sorry I forgot to get back to it in the video. I also put it in the description. I buy mine from Amazon.
Hi, Stacey! Woah, you blew me away @ 5:00…drawing those two narrow columns for a check box is genius!! AND it makes all your box sizes equal! You, my girl, are a math whiz!!! 😅 All your layouts are so pretty and practical. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have a great week! Meline
I had to change my planner out because it was too heavy, yes that is a thing, the replacement is much better and I'm able to fully utilize my two planners. So good luck for 2025, I do plan on getting the Sterling Ink B5 and I'm excited!
Just found your podcast and wow!! I had to subscribe. How do you find the time to be so organized? Do you get up early to prepare your day? Also love how you decorate but most important is the substance. I just know I’m going to enjoy bingewatching;)!
Thank you for the kind words. No I don’t wake up early at all. My weeks are usually about the same, so planning doesn’t take long. My pages also have a lot of documenting what happened. I also use my daily planner which can get quite messy.
thanks for this video! I really enjoyed learning more about your process, and I found your explanations to be very clear! looking forward to the next one!
To find out what month the Sterling Ink stickers are from, find the 4-digit code in the bottom left corner. The first two digits are the year, and the last 2 digits are the month. The ones you are using say 2306...they are the June 2023 collection.
What is your plans for 2025 !? I am thinking either A5 or TN from SI but i am bot sure what to do !? A5 mulberry is very nice and there is one cover in hobonichi that is really matches it but sometimes i think it is about the function not the look so i tell my self N 1 is more functional 😅
Oh boy. Because I’ve found peace in the N1, I’m pretty sure that I need to stick with these. My mind keeps trying to get me to get an A5. Im also waiting to see what MakseLife has to offer before I make any definite decisions. But for now its looking like , Mini Hp for dailies, 2-Sterling Ink N1 for catchall and faith and lastly possibly MakseLife for health wellness and goal setting!
I love your setup! I tried to use the Hobonichi Weeks a few years ago, but it was a bit too small -- I'm really intrigued by Sterling Ink's versions, and it looks like she'll have N1, N2, and B6 slim for next year! I'm a MakseLife user too, and I also enjoy having daily pages I can rip out and take with me!
Yeah it’s so tough but fun at the same time 😂 . I’m thinking that for next year I may give up the MakseLife due to the size and use the goal planning section in the Sterling Ink. Thank you so much for watching!
@@StaceyNicole913 It's true, it is so big in comparison! I might switch back to Makselife's monthly goal planner, which I really loved, or maybe get the digital version and then just copy the weekly actions into my weekly spread.
@@user-kv8nx9oj5v wow I never considered the digital version. I was also considering the monthly but they should be releasing their line up soon. I may look into digital as well. Thanks for sharing that
Loved your thought process in this video! I think we have the same brain 😂 I am trying to decide between vertical or horizontal weekly for 2025 - for the exact reason you’re using both! I like to see my schedule laid out like you’ve done vertically but I also prefer the horizontal for to do lists. I don’t think I can keep up with 2 separate planners though as I struggle to just keep up with one most days 😂 such a tough decision! But thoroughly enjoyed your video and you just gained a new subscriber! ❤
Thank you. I think that since I’m time blocking in my daily, I can use the horizontal weekly. I now use the vertical columns for journaling. Thank you so much for subscribing!
Hi Stacy!! Love 💕 the video. Listen I like common planner a lot. What pen are you using? And does that pen ghost a lot? Trying to find a pen that doesn’t ghost that much although I know there will be some anyway?
Hi there! In this video I’m using a Pilot Precise V7 needle tip pen, which is 0.7. There is no bleed through and the shadowing is very little. They also have a V5, which is 0.5, and that pen may have even less shadowing than this one.
