run run run ! here comes the state and the real savage civil - a lie = zation ! Both his books (Against The Grain and Seeing Like A State) are amazing! What epic fail almost all social experiments have been, and always backed by violence and elitism.

Lecture by Marc Castellnou (15/05/2014) in THESys Lecture series of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Wildfires are one of the most commented and visible disturbances in our forests; wildfire risk management is a hot topic in climate change agendas. While wildfires represent an important ecological process, they also significantly impair the function of forests as a buffer to climate change. How can we manage wildfires? Why do we fight them so aggressively? Why do our forests burn?
